[Special: Birthday Gift]

Omg, I'm kinda late! But happy birthday to my favourite cub! Unfortunately, I couldn't fit Chaeyoung's birthday with the story line (I already had a chapter prepared so that's why this one couldn't fit) so I decided to make it a special!

Mina knew she was acting different the whole day, in fact she herself was afraid that Chaeyoung perhaps may be angry. But the reason behind that, would be unknown to Mina. If Chaeyoung is angry, then what exactly would it be about? Surely it can't be about her birthday. Mina made it really clear that she remembered the cub's birthday.

From sending her non-stop happy birthday greetings, with little heart emoji's on the side to a voice memo of her singing the song. Mina figured that should be enough to enlighten the girl for a few hours before she gives her present.

But Chaeyoung's been ignoring everything. Not once did she reply to Mina's texts, not once did she call and explode with cheesy pick up lines. Not once did Chaeyoung run to her apartment and crack a few horrible jokes before giving Mina a peck on the kis-ah I meant the h-horrible jo-jokes are what I'm waiting for. Totally wasn't wanting Chaeyoung to come over and kiss me or anything.

Pffft~ No~

Mina was getting worried. She didn't want to seem obsessive but ever since the level change in their relationship, she wanted to make Chaeyoung's birthday as special as possible. Just like how Chaeyoung did so for her. "Maybe she's busy?" A voice chirped behind her.

It was Momo, who was holding her second order of fries, her drink held tightly in her hand. Mina sighed, her mouth twitching into a visible pout, "Maybe. But today's her birthday, I wanted it to be special."

Momo smiled sweetly, "I'm sure she's aware of that. But Chaeyoung's been busy lately with her projects, so maybe she just needs to finish that first." She reassured. Despite her strong appetite, Momo could be a really good friend just not when she asks you to pay for her food.

"Oh by the way.." Momo cleared her throat, a hint of uncertainty in her voice, "Mina..? Can I ask you something..?"

Mina rolled her eyes playfully, eyeing the container of fries and the cold drink. "Fine. I'll pay for your food." She muttered, already aware of what Momo was the going to ask. The latter acted surprised but she knew that Mina predicted her question beforehand.

"You're lucky I'm nice to you." Mina smirked, passing the cashier her bills. Momo giggled, snuggling close to the younger girl, her fingers picking at the fries.

"And I'm lucky to be your friend." Momo smiled cheekily, though she did feel a bit bad that Mina had to spend her money on Momo's lunch.

"Wow, so smooth." Mina chuckled, pulling a chair out, sitting at the table as she scanned the stores. Momo clicked her tongue and acted suave, like she was that flirtatious and arrogant boy you would meet in high school. She acted like that for 2 minutes before finishing up her small pile of fries.

Mina was expecting Momo to ask for another bowl but surprisingly, the latter didn't request anything. Instead, she stayed quiet and just scanned the stores along side Mina. To be quite honest, Mina was quite relieved that Momo hadn't asked for another bowl of fries.
