It dosent hurt to try

It was toward going to bed I entered my sisters room and she was on her phone on Pinterest.

"Hey" I said

" Hey." she said

"Um buy any chance you know how we were at vacation bible school today. do you know a guy that is light skinned with blue eyes and blonde hair?"

She had to think about it .

"Actually yeah I do he came up to me on movie night at the church. why you like him?"

"Yeah I think I do he seems really cute and calm" I said.

"Well I'll tell you this" while she laid up from her bed and turned off her phone. I was kind of nervous what I was about to hear but really it shocked me.

"He is from Australia he lives upstairs in the church he is trying to become a pastor."

"Oh.....oh that's um that's cool"I said.

I was a bit shocked but I was happy it meant he was a peaceful and humble guy.

"Thanks do you know what his name is?"

"Yeah it's Tony." she said.

I walked out her room and said "thank you."

I was happy but how was I suppose to talk to a guy that I never talked to.

August

The last week of August it was bike night at the church I was volunteering at a Jewelry stand for my pastor. I was also passing out raffling tickets so people can win free prizes.

"Can I have one?" a man asked. I thought about it Australian accent this has to be Tony. I turned around.

"Yeah sure." I said I couldn't believe it it was Tony. I gave him a raffle ticket and told him

" The raffle takes place every 30 minutes so there are many chances to win" I said.

"Oh great I don't believe we met have we?" he asked.

"No I don't believe I either." I said while pulling my hand out for a handshake.

"Well I'm Jillian." I smiled

"I'm Tony I'm from Australia and I'm a co pastor at a baptist church." he said

"Oh that's cool that the pastors are letting you stay here that's good." I said.

" Ya you got to be grateful for what God has given you"

"That's right well I hope to see you around Tony." I said

"Okay I'll make sure of that Claire." he said.

I couldn't believe what just happened I talked to Tony and he seemed to be very nice and humble I hope that this was just the beginning for us.

October

It was a Thursday night and I had to go to church I got ready I wore red heels with dark denims and a tan shirt with studs on the shoulder.

As I pulled into the lot of the church I saw Tony heading out of the church so I got out of my car hoping that he would notice me.

"Hey Claire right? That's your name right or did I mess up again." he said.

"No,no,no you got it right don't worry it's claire" I said.

"Listen I was wondering if you can stop by my church this Sunday in actually Pastoring that day so I would like for you to come." he said while handling me a price of paper that was was folded a couple times.
