Hilda opened up another box, sneezing at the dust that came off of it.
"Bless you," N said, appearing from the small entrance of the attic. He held a large box in his arms, placing it next to another large box.
"Thanks," Hilda sniffled, searching the contents of the box. Deciding there was nothing of importance inside the box, she placed it back where she found it and grabbed another box.
Hilda's mother, Harmony, was searching through the box N had brought up, "Thank you, N. This was the last one?"
"Yes," N confirmed, "What is it we're looking for?" He asked, grabbing a box and sitting next to Hilda.
Hilda opened the box she was holding and shrugged, "Anything of my dad's."
"Ah..."
Hilda frowned at the contents of her box and put it back. She grabbed a shoebox and opened it, finding a bunch of loose photos inside of it.
Curious, Hilda began looking through the pictures. Her mother was in most (if not all) of them, but she looked about Hilda's age. On the back of each photo was a description of the picture and the date it was taken, confirming Hilda's hunch about her mother's age.
"Hey mom! These pictures are of you in highschool?" Hilda asked.
Hilda's mother nodded absentmindedly, "Maybe...There are probably a few from college too."
N looked at the pictures Hilda held, "You look like her." He observed. He went back to searching his box. Hilda wondered slightly why he was even helping, as he would have no idea what to look for.
As Hilda scanned through the pictures, one specific one caught her attention. She frowned at it and studied it closer.
"Ew!" She suddenly shrieked.
N and Hilda's mother both looked up from their work at Hilda, "What is it, honey?" Her mother asked, standing up. She walked over and took a seat next to her daughter.
"Are you okay, my Hilda?" N wondered.
Hilda his the picture from N and showed her mother, "W-Who are these two?"
Hilda pointed to a tall man with faded green hair and red eyes and a short woman with green eyes and black hair.
Harmony smiled at the photo and took it from her daughter, "Those were my highschool friends, Ghetsis and Faith!"
N froze, "Ghetsis?" He whispered.
Hilda glared at the photo. The photo portrayed Ghetsis, Harmony, and Faith sitting on a bench. The girls were smiling and petting Ghetsis' Deino. The picture had to have been staged, because Hilda doubted there was someone behind the camera.
"We were friends back in the day..." Harmony sighed, "We even used to date for awhile."
Hilda covered N's ears, "Ew!"
Harmony tilted her head in confusion, "What? This was long before I met your father."
"Still. Ew. It's Ghetsis."
"When was the last time you saw him?" N asked quietly.
Harmony thought it over carefully, "Right before Hilda went on her journey, I believe."
"That long ago?" Hilda asked.
Harmony nodded, "Yes...he was in town visiting and we...caught up."
"Ew!"
"Not like that!"
