Chapter Thirty Seven

Becky's POV

"Hey Becky" Braun greeted as he let me into his apartment.

"Hey lad, is it cool if I ask you some questions?" I ask

"What kind of questions?" He says

"About Alexa, please?" I say hopefully.

"Sure, go ahead." He says making me smile

"Thank you! Okay so you knew Alexa before any of us because you guys grew up in the same town together, correct?" I ask earning a nod from him.

"Yeah, I've known her since we were in diapers." He says

"You guys did date right?" I ask

"Yeah for a couple months, why?" He asks

"How was she as a girlfriend? Did she leave a lot or do any suspicious things?" I question

"Not really. Sure she would act off sometimes but I expected it considering her childhood." Braun says causing my eyebrows to raise.

"Her childhood? What was wrong with it?" I ask causing him to grow clearly uncomfortable.

"Look Becky I don't know if I'm even allowed to tell you these kinds of things, this is something you should take up with Alexa personally." He says making me groan.

Should I just tell him about us trying to catch her cheating?

Yeah I should then maybe he'll give me more details.

"We think she's cheating and instead of just sitting there I want to actually figure out some things about her, so please tell me." I say

"Alright, fine. When Alexa was a little girl, like about five years old, she was in the car with her mom and according to the newspapers she killed her mother." Braun says causing my eyes to widen.

"Umm, what!?" I yell

"She grabbed the steering wheel and drove them off the road and downhill into the woods. Due to the impact her mom didn't survive. Alexa was taken to the hospital for her small cuts but when the doctors were asking her what happened she told them everything, she wasn't even sad about it." Braun says

"I've been friends with a fucking killer?!" I scream

"She was just five Becky and after her dad found out he just abandoned her." He says

"Wait so her parents now are her foster parents?" I ask making him nod

"Yup, pretty much. It's good that such nice people took her in, they knew about her history but they didn't let it get in the way." He says making me nod.

"Huh, what about cheating? Does she have a history of it?" I ask

"She does actually, it's not much but she used to cheat every now and then." Braun says

"Did she ever cheat on you?" I ask

"Not that I know of." He says

"Is there anything else that I don't know about her past?" I ask

"Well, the same thing happened again. Alexa was in a car with her friends and she crashed the car, when she was asked what happened she said she had a flashback to what happened with her mom. She broke down and got really depressed for a while. She distanced herself from everyone and didn't talk too much." Braun says

"Wow, that's crazy. What happened after that?" I ask

"Well it took her a few months to get back to her regular self then that's when we started dating. Then as you know she moved over to your hometown and met you guys." He says
