Chapter Twenty

Sasha's POV

That's all I needed to see before I connected our lips.

I felt Bayley gasp before kissing back. I felt her hands paw at my chest, pulling me closer. I felt like I was in heaven as I kissed her.

Her lips are so soft, she was so gentle. I quickly moved from being besides her to now straddling Bayley. This seemed to cause something to switch because she quickly pushed me off and stood up, a hand covering her mouth.

"Oh my god." She says in shock, placing her hands on top of her head.

"That's one word to describe it, I didn't think our first kiss would be that good." I say but Bayley just stares at me dumbfounded.

"First kiss? There wasn't supposed to ever be a kiss!" Bayley groaned out.

"You didn't like it?" I ask

"It's- Well- No! I didn't! I'm with Alexa, this is so wrong Sasha!" Bayley says

"If you didn't like it or want it then why did you kiss me back?" I question causing her to freeze.

"It was just a reflex." Bayley says, looking at the floor.

"Bails I know it meant something to you." I say, as I get up from the couch and approach her.

"No, your wrong." She says

"Baby I know you still love me. I love you too." I say cupping her face.

"No you don't! It's not supposed to be like this! Your supposed to go be with some random guy and I'm supposed to be with Alexa!" She argues making me frown.

"I was going to ask you out." I say making her gaze shift to me.

"When?" She asks, curiosity laced throughout her voice.

"A few weeks ago, before Alexa did." I say

"Why didn't you?" She asks

"Alexa beat me to you, I was dumb and let her have a chance." I say

"How'd you do that?" Bayley asks making me sigh.

"Well it was during the camping trip. Remember when I said I had to tell you something? Well I was going to say I love you." I explain

"You were too late." She says making me nod in agreement sadly.

"I was and I regret that so much." I say, tracing her jawline with my fingers.

"When did you find out you love me?" Bayley asks making me hum in thought.

"Like a month or so ago. I was just realizing that you were always on my mind and that you were such a perfect human being." I say making her blush.

"A month? Sasha why didn't you tell me?" She says making me shrug.

"I thought you would hate me, all those times you asked me out and all I did was say no. I'm sorry for breaking you heart like a billion times." I say as she sighs.

"I could never hate you, I lo- like you too much." Bayley says

"Like? Only a few weeks ago you said you loved me and you asked me out. What changed?" I ask

"Alexa is who I love Sasha. I was unsure about it before but now I am sure, I love her. I can see my future with her, she makes me happy." She says and I feel my eyes water a little.

"When did you find out you love me? I mean loved." I ask putting a small frown onto her beautiful face.

"Well about four years ago I looked at you and just thought, wow she would be a great wife. After that day I couldn't stop looking at you as nothing less then a friend. I fell in love with your amazing personality, your beautiful body, just everything about you I loved. You were my first love and I'll never regret falling for you." She says and I feel a single tear slide down my cheek. Bayley lifts her hand and wipes it away.

"So is there no us? No chances?" I say and just then did I notice Bayley had tears brimming on her eyes.

"Yes, but I'm always going to have a great story to tell right?" She says, tears now falling.

"Yeah I guess." I say trying to find some joy.

"Why are we acting like this?" Bayley asks, leaning her forehead against mine.

"Like what Bails?" I ask

"Like we're breaking up or something." She says making me sigh.

"I don't know, I don't feel. My heart hurts too much." I say

"Sasha I love you." She says

"I know you don't mean it the way I want it but I'm just going to imagine that you do. I love you too Bayley." I say

"Why are we crying?" She asks making me giggle and shrug.

"I don't know." I say

"Sasha" Bayley says my name quietly.

"Hmm?" I ask

"I want one more kiss." She says making me smile and happily connect our lips.

This kiss felt like it was filled with so much emotion, so much love. It was just a small simple kiss but it had my heart thumping hard. As we broke away it felt like she took a piece of my heart along with her.

"So what now?" I ask

"Well for starters I'm starving so let's wait for the girls to get back from the store." She says, pulling me onto the couch. I rested my head against her shoulder as she held my hand.

"What about us? What's the future got in store?" I ask and she runs a soft finger over my knuckles.

"For us? Friends." She says, I could hear the small pained tone that came out.

Friends

I don't think I can be just friends with her.

I just can't, it's going to hurt too much.

I'm going to have to let her go...

I didn't plan for this chapter to end like this but I'm happy with it so, yeah!

I'm proud that the shield got their revenge. At hell in a cell I think Braun will put up a good fight but in the end Romans going to still walk out with his title.
