CHRISTINE

The school took a month and a half to be rebuilt. The explosion killed dozens of other kids in the school, some of them I knew, some of them I didn't. It didn't matter anymore, they were dead, and that's it, but no matter how hard I try, every night I go to sleep, they always come back to my mind, I feel guilty for their deaths. The day the school was bombed, I came to school late, and my phone was off, I didn't turn it on until I got to school. On my way to science class, an explosion went off a couple yards in front of me. Although not that close to me, the explosion still sent me flying back a bit, hitting the ground hard.

I followed everyone who was evacuating the building, into a large crowd outside of the school, where everything went wrong. My boyfriend, Michael was there, I have a new boyfriend now, but that doesn't matter, Michael's dead. Michael stood up in front of the entire school, wanting to make sure we were all safe, until someone took him. I don't even remember who it was, someone in armor, I can barely remember their face. They did something to Michael, he fell on the ground in pain. What happened next was crazy and I'm convinced that it was just my imagination, but Michael was struck by lightning. I'm not joking, a lightning bolt came down from the sky, and struck him, everyone was sent flying back and passed out. When we all woke up, Michael and the mysterious person were gone.

The police eventually came to our aid, but they didn't believe anything we said, they said the smoke messed with our minds and made us see things, but we know what we say, even if they didn't believe us.

Today was Friday, a day that everyone loves because it's the end of the week. I was in my science class, the class I was going to the day the school exploded. I sit next to Michael's seat every day, wondering about what happened to him. I had class with my boyfriend next class, so now was the only time I could acknowledge Michael's memory. I sat in my seat, ignoring everything the professor was saying, I didn't care, not anymore. I got up from my chair, and walked towards the window, looking up at the sky, stuck inside this prison. I look outside, just in time to see someone fall from the sky, literally. It was a girl, older than me, she was in a battle suit, and was strangely glowing white. She was holding someone by their arms, I looked closer, realizing who it was.

"Everyone, get out of the building!" I yelled at the class, instantly running out of the class. I ran through the halls warning every one of the danger that was outside. "Everyone get out of the building!"

I ran down the stairs, trying not to fall, I exited the stairwell and ran towards the doors that led to the road outside. As I ran, I could feel something lightly pulling me forward, I thought nothing of it and kept running.

"Michael!" I said as I ran through the doors, searching for him, but he wasn't here anymore. I walked further into the road, but he wasn't here anymore. Was I day dreaming? No, I wasn't. He was here. I know. The doors behind me suddenly busted open with kids running through the door, some yelling. I look back, trying to find Michael, but he was nowhere to be found.

"This is her?" I heard a voice behind me say. I turned around to see the same girl with the battle suit behind me, holding Michael by his arms, he looked beaten up, there was blood coming from his lips. "You're joking, right?" She pushed me forward, causing me to fall over.

"Who the hell are you?!" I yelled.

"This is who I have to kill?" Said the girl to Michael, ignoring my question. "Well, it has to be this way Michael." She let go of Michael dropping him on the floor without enough strength to get back up. She walked over to me and grabbed me by my shirt and lifted me up off the ground.

"It's a shame that you have to die," She said. "You really do seem like a good person."

"Let her go!" Yelled Michael as he tried to get back up. "Let her go!" The woman turned around and scoffed at him. She let go of me and pushed me back, but she knew I wouldn't run away. I looked around, seeing that all the other kids were standing far away from us, afraid.
