Isabella fixed the strap of her backpack on her shoulder as she walked up to the school she was going to have to go to for who knows how long. She was less than thrilled to be going to school, and even more unhappy that she actually had to do the homework.
She had been put into three of the same classes as Peter, Spanish, Gym, and his English class. That was also not including his lunch period. Tony sure can pull some strings when he wants to get his way.
As she walked into the school she understood why everyone hated it. There were way too many people there and way too many immature people.
Luckily she made it to her locker without being knocked over or anyone talking to her. Her luck ran out when she had finished putting some of her books into the small locker and closed it. She suppressed the instinct to punch the person leaning against the locker next to hers, and just looked at them.
"Can I help you?" Isabella finally asked the stranger who was also just looking at her.
"You much be new here, I would know you if you weren't. My name is Flash, and what's your name beautiful?" The boy asked and Isabella didn't even know how to react.
She had never considered herself beautiful by any standard. The cigarette burns reminded her of why she wasn't, but those were covered by the sleeves of her shirt. Her light blonde hair was shoulder length and naturally a little wavy but it never did what she wanted it to, so it was in a ponytail almost half the time. Green eyes were the only thing she really liked about her face, and that was pretty much it. Then there was the fact that she was pretty short, even though she was only 15, she was only 5'2 and she wasn't growing anymore than that unfortunately.
"Wait what?" Isabella finally asked and Flash laughed a little. "What's your name?" He asked again, raking his eyes up and down her body causing her to want to punch him again.
"You won't need to know it because I won't be talking to you again." Isabella said turning on her heels and walking in the opposite direction leaving Flash to recover from being rejected.
As the bell for first period rang Isabella sat down in the only open desk, which was unfortunately, next to the very boy she was supposed to be shadowing.
Peter was busy in a conversation with the person in front of him which much be his best friend, Ned, Isabella recalled from the file.
"Before we begin there's a new student in class. Bella would you like to stand up and introduce yourself?" The teacher asked causing every head to turn in the direction of her.
Isabella looked at the teacher and swore under her breath as she stood up and looked round at the class. "Well my name is Bella....and my eyes change from green to blue sometimes." She said and quickly sat back down.
The class whispered as the teacher stood up and got to teaching.
Isabella glanced at Peter who was looking straight ahead at the teacher and being the good student that Isabella did not want to be.
After a long period of class the bell rang and everyone stood up and walked out quickly. Isabella collected her things and followed the crowd of people out of the room.
The day was a drag for Bella, having never been in actual school her day had never been this structured. She did not like it.
When it was finally her lunch period she collapsed at a table at the back and groaned a little bit when the boy who hit on her that morning sat across from her.
"What?" Isabella asked pulling her brown paper bag filled with food out.
"How's your first day going Bella?" He asked and she glared at him when he said her name. "I'm in your Spanish class." He said and she nodded a little.
"You may know my name but I still don't want to talk to you." Bella said as she bit into her apple that Tony must have packed.
"You're going to have to talk to me sometime." Flash said before winking and walking away from her and back to his group of "friends".
Isabella rolled her eyes and continued to eat as two more people came over to her table and set down their trays of food. She looked up and saw Ned, and the one and only Peter Parker.
"Sorry about that guy, he's kind of the school jerk." Peter said and she nodded a little, not sure why they were sitting with her.
"I can handle a guy being a jerk, I just don't like it when they continuously hit on me. I've shot him down three times today, and it's my first day here. He hit on he in the middle of my math class." Bella said and the two boys looked at each other before laughing.
"You shot down Flash?" Ned asked and Isabella just looked at them, confused at why they were laughing so hard at her shooting him down.
"Yeah...why is that such a big deal?" Bella asked and Peter shook his head.
"He always jokes about being able to get any girl he wants." Peter explained and it was Isabella's turn to laugh.
"That asshat thinks he can get any girl he wants? Yeah well he's never going to get me." Isabella laughed.
"Well I know you're in my English and Spanish class, any other classes have you got with me?" Peter asked as he started to eat his school provided lunch. "Okay that doesn't taste like pizza, I'm not going to eat that." Peter said dropping the pizza that he took a bite of, back onto his tray.
"Here, you can have half of my sandwich. I have art after this and then gym after that." Isabella said sliding half of her sandwich over to Peter.
"You don't have to do that, and we probably have gym together." Peter said as he pushed the sandwich back to the blonde
"It's not a big deal Peter, just take the sandwich." Isabella argued and pushed it back to him.
Peter smiled a little before taking the sandwich and taking a bite out of it. "This is much better than what ever that was. Thanks." He said turning to Ned who started talking about a lego death star.
Maybe Peter Parker wasn't so much of an asshole as Isabella thought he was.
