The night of Homecoming had arrived and Peter was picking Isabella up at the Tower. Isabella was beyond nervous when she was getting ready for the dance. Tony had helped her pick out the dress and gotten some people to come help with the hair and make up. By the time they were done Isabella didn't recognize herself, but she looked great.
When Peter made it to the tower he texted Tony that he was there and that he was in the elevator. Tony excitedly dragged Isabella away from the mirror and to the living area where Peter was going to be in just a minute.
Peter stepped out of the elevator just as Isabella stumbled into the room laughing while being dragged by Tony. Both of them froze when they saw each other.
Peter was in his black suit with a skinny black tie, Isabella knew May helped him with. His hair was slicked back a little, showing more of his face than normal since his hair is usually messy and some would fall in his face sometimes.
Isabella was in a deep red dress that came down to her knees. It was like one of those old school 40's dresses that she knew Steve, Wanda, and Natasha would have appreciated. Her hair was up in a ponytail but her bangs were curled perfectly and pinned to the side of her face. Her make up matched the dress, red lips and simple eye make up.
"Oh my god someone say something!" Tony finally yelled snapping both of them to their senses.
They both smiled and walked towards each other. "Wow, you look amazing Isabella." Peter said when he finally could speak.
"You don't look too bad yourself Spidey." Isabella laughed a little as they saw a flash. They turned to Tony who was fake tearing up while taking pictures.
"They're growing up so fast." Tony said and Isabella laughed while rolling her eyes.
"I got this for you." Peter said as he opened the corsage box. Isabella turned to him and smiled as she held out her wrist for him to put it on They smiled as Peter gently slid it onto her wrist.
"You really do look amazing." Peter whispered and Isabella blushed brightly.
"Thank you Peter. You look good in a suit." Isabella whispered and it was Peter's turn to blush.
"Okay, do you want me or Happy to drive you? If Happy takes you it might take longer." Tony asked and Isabella giggled softly as Happy called from the other room, "I heard that!"
"Thank you Mr. Stark but Happy can take us, you don't have to take us." Peter said and Tony shook his head.
"Nope, I'm gonna take you. I'll drop you two off and then head to the new compound. Isabella your new apartment is all taken care of so you don't have to drive from the compound and I'm paying for it. Just let me know if you need any food, I won't let Vision make any of it." Tony said as he picked up the keys to one of the cars he owned and Isabella and Peter shrugged and followed him to the garage.
Peter's hand found Isabella's and he laced their fingers together, causing them both to smile and slightly blush. They were beyond excited for the night but also very nervous. Both of them had feelings for each other, and they both knew it, but they hadn't kissed so this was the night both of them planned on finally kissing the other.
As they were being driven by Tony they were joking in the backseat as usual. When they got there Isabella got out of the car but Tony held Peter back. "I'll go find Michelle and Ned. Tony, don't be too much of a dad." Isabella warned with a smile as she shut the door and walked inside to find her friends.
"Just show her a good time and let her crash at your place okay? She really cares about you, don't hurt her." Tony explained and Peter nodded.
"I would never hurt her Mr. Stark." Peter said and Tony nodded, a small smile on his face.
"Okay, go have a good time." Tony said and Peter got out of the car. He watched Tony leave.
"I'll see you soon Liz, I'll be home before you know it." A familiar voice made the hair on the back of Peter's neck stand on edge. He looked over at Liz and saw her hugging her dad goodbye.
Peter's heart dropped as he saw the man that dropped him into the lake and the man who was on the ferry. The man looked over and gave him a small smirk and a nod. Peter walked over to Liz and gave her a small smile.
"Hey Liz." Peter said, glancing at he dad.
"Hey Peter, where's Isabella?" Liz asked and Peter looked back at Liz.
"She's inside with Michelle and Ned. Are you Liz's dad?" Peter asked looking at the man.
The man smiled and nodded. "The one and only. You much be Liz's friend Peter." He said and shook Peter's hand. Peter stiffened as he shook his hand and he pulled his phone out, and tossed in behind in, into the backseat of the car. Liz smiled and closed the door before giving her dad one last hug.
"I'll let you two go have fun. I'll see you soon gumdrop." The man said and Peter watched him get back in the car and drive away.
Peter was not happy with what he had to do. As he made his way inside the school he looked for Isabella. He quickly found her, a smile etched on her face probably from a joke Ned just told them. When he reached the group Isabella's smile faded, she knew there was something wrong.
Isabella pulled him aside and looked at him. "What's wrong?" She asked him and he just looked at her, trying to come up with an apology.
"I'm sorry. I-I have to go." Is all Peter could come up with.
Isabella's heart dropped as she nodded a little. "Why?" She asked and Peter shook his head.
"Spiderman, the guy with the wings. I have to go, I'm sorry Isabella, I really am." Peter said as he took off running out of the gym leaving Isabella alone and with tears welling up in her eyes.
Isabella quickly composed herself, took off her heels and ran after Peter, if he was abandoning the party, he wasn't about to face it alone.
