Peter was the first one to wake up the next morning, when he realized Isabella was next to him his cheeks turned a shade of pink. Isabella began to move and wake up and curled closer to Peter, not wanting to wake up.
"Good morning Isabella." Peter said softly and Isabella groaned and rolled over, burying her face into his chest.
Peter smiled gently and rubbed her back gently.
Isabella was still half asleep when May walked in and saw Pete awake.
"Good morning Peter, is she up?" May asked as she went to the kitchen to get some breakfast.
"I don't know honestly." Peter said and looked down at Isabella's calm face. "You aren't mad that we slept on the couch?" Peter asked and May laughed a little.
"No, I'm not. I came in to get you last night but you two were already asleep and her face was still a bit red so I decided it would be okay because she was obviously upset. How was her dad?" May asked and Peter almost started to laugh.
"Um, he's getting back into town today and she's gonna go back home after school today." Peter explained and May silently nodded.
Isabella groaned and sat up, rubbing her eyes. She looked around and remembered she was at Peter's.
"Good morning, how'd you sleep?" Peter asked and Isabella looked down, realizing they had slept together, cuddling.
Isabella's face turned red as she smiled a little. "I actually slept really well." She responded and stood up to stretch.
"You can go change for school in Peter's room or the bathroom. Your suitcase is in his room." May said from the kitchen.
"Thanks May. I really appreciate you letting me stay here." Isabella said and smiled a little before walking to Peter's room.
Isabella's phone started to vibrate in her hand as she closed Peter's room door. She looked at the caller ID and saw it was Tony. Not wanting to pick it up, she pressed accept anyway.
"What do you want Tony?" Isabella asked as she started to rifle through her suitcase for some clean clothes.
"I wanted to say sorry for yesterday and I'm caught up on everything that happened in D.C. I was trying to find Banner but I didn't find him so I was all upset and got a little drunk. So I'm sorry I let you down and I wasn't there for you." Tony said and Isabella paused for a second.
"Tony I um.... I don't want to be on assignment anymore. I want to be like a regular teenager and go to high school and have fun with my friends. You an still call me in on assignments if you really need me but I'd like to protect the little guy." Isabella said in a soft voice, afraid of what Tony was going to say.
"I understand Isabella. I'm not surprised that you would want that. Keep going to school and keeping up your grades. I'm glad you and Peter are friends, you two are pretty amazing kids." Tony said and Isabella smiled a little.
"Thank you." Isabella said as she pulled some clothes out of the suitcase and zipped it back up again, "I'll still stay at the tower and let you know what's happening in my life and part of Peter's but I'm not going to follow him." Isabella said and smiled to herself.
"Thank you Isabella, I hope you go to homecoming too, I know that's coming up and I hope you go and have a good time." Tony said and Isabella laughed a little.
"Homecoming? Yeah I don't plan on going and wearing a dress, you know me." Isabella said and Tony laughed a little.
"I'll talk to you after school kiddo." Tony said before hanging up and leaving Isabella to change and get ready for school.
Isabella smiled a little and put down her phone as she started to change.
"You ready Bella?" Peter asked as he cracked the door and knocked.
"Nope, close the door Parker. I'm shirtless at the moment. If you wanted to see me without a shirt you could've told me." Isabella said and Peter quickly shut the door, his face a bright red.
"I'll tell you when I'm dressed." Isabella called through the door and Peter nodded, knowing she couldn't see him.
When Isabella was dressed she opened the door and smiled at Peter who's face was still pretty red. She laughed as he rubbed the back of his neck and walking into his room.
"Sorry about that." Peter said and walked over to his dresser. "I didn't mean to do that." He added.
Isabella laughed a little and shook her head. "Don't worry Peter, you didn't mean to, don't worry." Isabella said as she grabbed her make up and brush. "I'll go to the bathroom so you can change." She added before walking over to the bathroom to brush the knots out of her hair and freshen up her make up.
After she was done she went back to Peter's room and knocked on his door. "Come in." Peter called and Isabella walked into the room. Peter was pulling his shirt over his head and Isabella paused. She bit her lip as Peter pulled his shirt down.
"You okay?" Peter asked and Isabella nodded silently as she put her things back into her suitcase. She looked up at him and smiled gently at him.
"You ready to go to school?" Peter asked and Isabella laughed a little.
"Not in the slightest." Isabella smiled as she stood up and looked at him.
"Same here." Peter said as he pulled his backpack to his shoulders and grabbed Isabella's backpack and handing it to her.
"Thanks." Isabella said as she took it from him and put it on her shoulders.
They stood there for a second before May called to them because they were running a little late.
"I guess we should go." Peter whispered and Isabella nodded a little bit before turning and walking out of the room and leaving Peter standing there as he was processing how he just wanted to grab Isabella and kiss her. He didn't know why but he couldn't, and he just had an idea to overcome the fear of all of that, but he was going to need May's help.
