"You're staying on the job. Now what happened?" Tony asked again and looked at them.

Peter pulled off her mask as he began to shiver. "I found out she's Isabella. And an assassin, which is really cool but like...an assassin?!" Peter spat and looked at Tony. "You think I need a babysitter?" Peter pushed and Isabella looked down.

"I was worried about you. You're a kid. Plus Isabella needed to have friends her own age." Tony said and Isabella looked up and glared at Tony.

"After the battle at the airport and everything happened I thought I was going to join the actual Avengers. Tony handed me this file and told me this job. I had never gone to high school, actually I've never been in any school." Isabella said and looked at Peter.

Peter looked at her and sighed as he looked at Tony. "I can't do this. If I see her at school I'm not going to be able to talk to her anymore. She can be at the school but not as my friend." Peter said and Isabella's heart dropped.

"Let me know what you decide Stark. I'll be...at the tower I guess." Isabella whispered as she walked away with tears in her eyes.

All Isabella could think of was Peter, and how she got way too attached to him and how it was time to distance herself. It was something she wasn't ready for and she didn't want to.

Peter just looked at Tony as he was waiting for Tony's answer. "What would you like me to say kid?" Tony asked causing Peter to pause.

"You brought me to the airport. You did that. So trust me a little bit! I don't need a babysitter." Peter said and looked at the mask that was in his hands.

"Isabella needs to go to school, she needs friends her own age too. She's not going to drop out of school. You're going to see her at school and you're going to have to continue to tutor her because her grades are skyrocketing because of your tutoring. You may not talk during school or whatever but you need to keep teaching her Spanish." Tony explained and Peter just looked at him. "I'm not kidding, and you're going to need to do the grown up thing." Tony added and Peter nodded a little.

"Fine." Peter said and sighed a little. "Thanks for...saving me Mr. Stark." Peter added and looked at Tony.

"Oh I'm not actually here." Tony said as he showed the empty suit. "You're so lucky this place had wifi." He added as he started to fly away, leaving Peter alone.

Isabella was sitting on the curb of the nearest street looking at her feet trying to fight off the tears that were threatening to escape. She messed up and the fact that she was hoping this would help her get onto the actual avengers, made her feel even worse. The more she thought about it, the more she got upset and finally started to cry. Isabella put her head in her hands and cried into them.

Peter was walking back to the sidewalk with his head hung low, when he heard crying. He looked up and saw Isabella crying on the curb, muttering to herself something he couldn't hear yet.

He took a few steps towards her and heard what she was saying. "I'm so stupid. So so stupid." Isabella muttered to herself as she gripped her upper arm tightly, scratching at the scars that she had.

"Isa-Isabella?" Peter stuttered, trying to find the confidence in his voice.

Isabella jumped and wiped her eyes quickly. "Yeah?" She asked not looking up at him.

"Are you okay?" Peter asked as he silently sat down next to her, but not that close to her.

Isabella took a deep breath. "No." She whispered and Peter looked at her. "Sorry, you don't want to talk to me and you don't want to see me so I'll leave you alone." She added before standing up and turning to walk away.

Peter stood up but didn't grab her wrist, he just watched her walk away. His heart hurt as she walked away from him with her arms wrapped around her tightly, knowing that he was going to miss talking to her everyday. He wanted to be her friend, but he met her and she had lied to him every day since then.

Peter realized that he didn't want to stop being friends but when he tried to look for her, he couldn't find her but found something from the truck he was chasing that night. He picked it up and swung home as quick as he could.

The next day at school Isabella avoided Peter, Ned, and even Michelle all day. Whenever she saw any of them walking towards her she would turn and walk the other way. If they had a class together she would ignore them when they talked to her, especially when Peter tried to talk to her. She ended up having to talk to Flash, causing Peter's heart to fall and Flash's to soar.

"You finally came around to the right side." Flash smirked at Isabella and she rolled her eyes.

"If you keep hitting on me I will crush you like a bug. We will only be talking about school." Isabella snapped at him as she glanced in Peter's direction, seeing his sad eyes looking down at his notebook. She looked down at her notebook as she continued taking notes.

At lunch Peter tried to look for Isabella but she was nowhere to be seen. He sighed and sat with Ned and Michelle.

"Hey Michelle, where's Isabella?" Peter asked as he took a bite from his sandwich.

"She's in the library studying and eating lunch." Michelle explained as she turned a page in her book. "But she doesn't want to talk to you." She added and Peter sighed.

"What'd you do Peter?" Ned asked and Peter shook his head.

"Long story." Peter muttered as he took a long drink of water.

No one said anything for awhile but Ned broke the silence. "So Michelle, you ready for the academic decathlon?"

Isabella was sitting in the library staring at the same page from her Spanish notebook for the entire time while eating her lunch. She wasn't happy with how she left Peter the night before but she couldn't go back. There wasn't any tutoring that day either and the next day the academic decathlon was happening so Peter was probably going to go, or not. Isabella didn't actually know.

Isabella wasn't sure where she stood with Peter and she didn't want to find out, she thought it was going to be bad. Little did she know, Peter was already starting to miss her and he wanted to tell her that he forgave her. She was just doing the job Tony asked her to do.
