Over the next few weeks everything was like normal, or as normal as it could be. Peter was back to acing his classes. Isabella was still getting used to being a normal teenager and not on assignment but Peter was helping her get used to it.
Ned and Michelle had caught onto the fact that both of them were very interested in each other, but was too shy to tell the other. They took it upon themselves to try to get Peter to ask Isabella to homecoming. Of course Peter was still very against the idea.
"Ned, she doesn't like me." Peter argued for the millionth time as he shut his locker.
"Yes she does Peter, it's obvious, just ask her to Homecoming." Ned said and Peter shushed him as Isabella walked up to them with a smile.
"Guess who just turned down Flash for the fifth time this week?" Isabella asked and Peter laughed a little, but hoping Flash wouldn't take her to Homecoming.
"How'd he ask this time?" Peter asked as they started to walk to their classes.
"Well he gave me a red rose and asked me to be his beauty to his beast. I liked the Beauty and the Beast thing but he put a picture of the Beast on his....on his crotch. So I gave him back the rose and told him to go ask out some other girl who liked his pick up lines that involve that because I sure don't." Isabella explained and Peter smiled a little as they stopped at Isabella's first class.
"So are you going to homecoming?" Ned asked and Peter tensed up slightly, hating his best friend right now.
Isabella shrugged a little. "I don't really like to wear dresses so I wasn't planning to but I'm also not against hanging out with my friends and dancing for an entire night." She said and glanced at Peter who was trying his hardest not to smile.
"Well, it's gonna be a lot of fun. Come on Peter, we have to go or we'll be late." Ned said as they said bye to Isabella and turned to walk away.
Isabella smile to herself as she sat down next to Michelle. "What, did Peter finally ask you to homecoming?" Michelle smirked and Isabella laughed a little.
"No, he didn't. Do you know something I don't?" Isabella asked and Michelle just gave her a look before turning back to her book.
"What was that?" Peter asked Ned as they walked to their class.
"What? I just asked her if she was going to homecoming, not if she would go with me." Ned said defensively and Peter rolled his eyes.
"For the last time, she doesn't like me." Peter said as they both sat down at their desks.
"For the last time Peter, she likes you. Ask her." Ned said and Peter didn't respond.
Peter thought of asking Isabella to homecoming a lot actually. He had the perfect Star Wars themed question, all he had to do was actually get up the courage to ask her. After Tony took away his suit he didn't have a lot of confidence, but Peter decided it was time to forget that and actually ask, only he was not going to tell Ned because he was going to freak out.
After school it was a tutoring day for Isabella and Peter. Isabella was passing Spanish and actually doing well in it thanks to Peter but they just wanted to hang out whether she needed help with it or not. So they made their way to Peter's apartment.
May smiled when the two of them walked through the door.
"Hey there you two. Bella you staying for dinner?" May asked and Isabella smiled before nodding.
"You should know that answer is a yes." Isabella said and May laughed a little before Peter started to drag Isabella to his room.
"Leave the door open." May called like she always did.
