Chapter 4.2

Heart P.O.V

Finally. Khalil and I were finally going out! I was so happy. Khalil was everything I wanted in a guy. Handsome, smart, talented, funny, and sweet. I loved everything about him. "Babe,  we're going out to eat, so get ready," Khalil said, as he walked into the bedroom. "Ok, I'll get changed, just give me like,10 minutes."  "Alright," he said as he left the room. I was so glad he left the room, I wasn't exactly that comfortable with my body. People always said I had a model's body, but that's never what I saw. Girls at school sometimes said that I only acted like I hated my body, because I wanted attention. But that wasn't true. There were reasons why I felt this way. Maybe my insecurity is why Khalil is my first boyfriend, and I'm 17, turning 18. I changed out of my gray sweats, into some black jeggings, a tunic sweater, a long necklace, and lace up ankle boots.  I put on a bit of mascara, winged out my eyeliner, and put on some light pink lip gloss. I heard a knock at the door. "Come in," I said. Aspyn entered the room. "You look great!" She said with a smile. "Thanks," I replied. "So, Khalil tells me you two are an item now?" Aspyn said winking at me. Word travels fast around here. "Yeah it's true." "Heart, you know you have to tell the guys about you-know-what sometime. You can't hide it much longer, especially from Khalil." "I know, just not yet. So what's up with you and Jaden? I saw him flirting with you by the window," I said with a smile. "Nothings up yet, but I hope it will be soon. Yeah, he's flirting with me, but it kinda seems like he just wants to be friends," Aspyn said with a frown. Really? I couldn't believe she couldn't see it. I'm pretty sure that everyone could see it except them two. "Ok let's get going, I'm sure the guys are getting sick of waiting for us." We walked out of the room, and down to the living room. "You look great Heart," Khalil said to me. "Thanks, baby," I said back to him. We all piled into the car, and we were on our way. "So where are we going?" Mel asked. "Red Lobster," Jaden said.

“I love Red Lobster!” Aspyn screamed. “Jeez, Aspyn. Calm down, its just food,” Meghan said laughing. That made everybody laugh. We went to Red Lobster, and had a great time. The cheddar biscuits are, as Kid Fury says, ‘life and a half’.

Diggy P.O.V

We had just gotten home from Red Lobster. Meg and I suggested that when we got home, we all watch a movie, and hang out together. Everyone loved the idea. “My legs are so tired, Dig!” Meghan whined to me. “Piggy-back ride?” I asked her.She nodded her head, and I lifted her up on my back. I walked her into the house, up the stairs, into our room, and dropped her on the bed. Before she could get up, I hovered over her on my knees, pinning her down by her wrists. “What are you doing, Dig?” She asked me. “Oh, nothing. Just, you know, attacking,” I said casually. I kissed her rapidly  all over her body, then let go of her wrists. She was still laughing like crazy. “What is so funny?” I asked her. She kept laughing, so I lifted her off the bed, and put my arms around her small waist, and kissed her one more time on the lips. That stopped her laughing. “This happens too often Dig, no matter how fun this is, we need to do other things besides kiss and stuff all the time, or our relationship will fall apart,” she said, removing my hands from her waist. “Sorry baby. From now on, more talking, less touching,” I said. “Well, I’m gonna go change,” she said, walking towards the walk-in closet. I ended up smacking her ass. “Daniel! What happened to ‘more talking, less touching?” She said, turning so her back was facing away from me. “I’m sorry, I couldn’t help myself,” I said laughing. She walked into the closet laughing. Even though I was joking around, she was right. If we weren’t careful, we could lose sight of why we liked each other, and start only being physically attracted to each other.

Heart P.O.V

We were all having fun, laughing talking, and watching movies together. Everyone was so fun to be around. Khalil’s head was in my lap, Meghan and Diggy were in a corner talking. I was surprised they weren’t just sucking each other’s faces off, like they always did. As for Jaden and Aspyn, they already seemed like a couple, even though they both claim that they were friends. Aspyn was in between Jaden’s legs, and his arms were wrapped around her. We needed to get them together, soon. Melanie and Spin, as always, were sitting on opposite sides of  the couch, not paying much attention to each other. I caught Spin sneaking a few glances at Mel a few times, and Mel looked like she wanted to look at him. I was 90% sure they liked each other. Since I was never in a relationship, I spent a lot of time analyzing other peoples. I could tell when couples were having issues, when two people liked each other, and much more. I was deep in my thoughts, but a loud snore snapped me out of them. I looked down at Khalil, who was asleep on my lap. I gently shook him “Babe....babe, wake up.” I slapped him on his chest, “KHALIL WAKE UP!” “What the fuhhh, oh, Heart. What’d you slap me for, girl? I wasn’t sleeping!” He said. “Yeah, ok. Let’s just go to bed,” I said to him. I got up, and pulled him off the couch. Since he was half asleep, I had to lead him up the stairs. We got to our room and Khalil was about to just go to sleep on the floor. I knew he was tired, but this tired? "Baby the bed is right there, just walk over there," I said to him. "It's fine, I'll just sleep on the floor," he said, yawning. "Fine, but your back is going to kill in the morning. Can I get my goodnight kiss?"  I got down on the ground so he wouldn't have to get up. He ended up kissing my shoulder instead, I got him a blanket, and got into the bed to go to sleep.

SpinP.O.V

I had been sitting next to Melanie for well over an hour, and she hasn't said a word to me. I decided to try to get her to open up to me again. "Melanie, I know you don't like me very much, or at all actually. But can't you just give us a chance?" No reply. "Can we at least talk Mel?" Still no reply. "Fine." I got up and went to our room. I decided to leave her the bed and sleep on the floor, even though I knew it would hurt my back. I thought about different ways to win Mel's heart. I decided to go see if Diggy was up. Maybe he would know what to do. "Hey Meghan, you mind if I talk to Dig for a few minutes?" She nodded and sat down next to Mel. "So here's the thing. I like this girl, but she won't listen to me or talk to me or anything. How can I get her attention?" First of all, we all know this girl is Mel. Ok, gets what you do..." Dig explained the plan to me. It was spread over a week. I hoped it worked. "Good lookin’ out, man. Meg, he's all yours." I went back upstairs, and went to sleep. My thoughts were clear, and I could rest easy.

Meghan P.O.V

I was sitting talking to Dig the whole night. We talked about everything. He told me some funny childhood stories, went deeper into his family life, and career. That's when the question popped up in my head. "Diggy, it's been 4 months already. When can I meet your family?" "Um, I'm not sure if we should do that yet," he said rubbing the back of his neck. "Why not? Don't you think we've been together long enough?" I asked him. "Its not that, it's just-" I cut him off. "Its just what? I'm not good enough to meet your family, is that it? You know what? I don't care. Forget it." "Meghan-" I heard him call my name multiple times, but I just went straight to the bedroom. I changed and got in the bed. I couldn't believe it. Was he ashamed of me? Was I being too pushy? I didn't know anymore. I just wish that I hadn't brought it up. But my ego was too big to admit that. I heard him walk in the door. I opened my eyes and saw him take off his shirt, and change into basketball shorts. He climbed into the bed. "Baby, we're fighting over nothing...I'm sorry, ok? I'm not hiding you, and it's not that you're not good enough or anything. I was just-I don't know. But if you really want to meet my parents, then I'll plan something with them as soon as possible, ok?" I turned around and nodded with a smile. He kissed my forehead and wrapped his arms around me. That's how we feel asleep, in each others, arms.

AspynP.O.V

Jaden and I were having fun, just talking and messing around. It was just us two, because everyone else had gone to bed. All of sudden, the joking around kind of stopped. He was now looking into my eyes. "You're beautiful, you know that? Before I could say anything, his lips crashed into mine. The kiss was starting to go to far, because we were lying on the ground and his hands were starting to slide up my shirt. I pushed him off of me and ran upstairs. That shouldn't have happened.

JadenP.O.V

Shit. I probably shouldn't have done that. I was planning to ask her out in a couple if days. I had to go see if she was ok. "You good, Aspyn?" "Yeah, I'm fine. Just so you know I'm not mad at you, ok? I just need to think. I'm gonna sleep on the floor tonight," she said. I couldn't let get do that. "No, I'll sleep on the floor, you can take the bed." I'd try to fix things with her tomorrow.
