Wendy held her phone up, scrutinizing her reflection through the filters of her screen. She huffed a long, dramatic sigh, then turned off her phone. She rested her cheek in the palm of her hand, the other playing with a strand of light brown hair."Hey Baechu, tell me why math is such a boring class?"
"Don't ask me." She shrugged, staring at her paper in mild confusion. "I have no freaking clue."
"Ugh." She turned the other way. "Woah, Taeyong dyed his hair."
"He does like almost every week," Seulgi dryly chimed, filling out a question on her paper. She didn't bother to look up as he sat down next to her.
"New hair?"
"Hm, you noticed." He grinned cheekily, Wendy smirked at Irene. She shrugged again.
"It's not something new. But, uh, she's not flirting."
"Not flirting?"
"She doesn't really do the dating scene."
"That's right. I don't." She peered at them through her large frames. "Stop talking me like I'm one of your weekly gossip topics."
"I would never!" Wendy gasped, feigning mock hurt. "Me? Gossiping?"
Seulgi rolled her eyes, resuming to her worksheet once again.
"Seul, how do you do this one?"
"Which one?"
"Number five." Taeyong responded, fiddling with the ear piercing on the top of his ear.
"It's A."
"No, I'm asking how you do it."
She turned. "You want to know?"
"Do I look the type that wants to fail?"
"Yes."
"Well I'm not." He scowled. "I could just ask Irene then if you're so recalcitrant—"
"Geez, chill out. I'll show you." She sighed at him, scooting closer to demonstrate.
"Taeyong and Seulgi look really good together." Wendy mused, both the girls now observing their friend.
"Yes, but they hate each other."
"Doesn't seem like that."
"Well, she's just teaching him something, I can bet that he probably forced her to help him."
"Yeah, I did." Taeyong winked at Irene. "You know, she's very selfish."
"Tell me something I don't know." Seulgi drawled, boring holes at his forehead, unamused. "Now do you even get it?"
"I don't know, do I?"
"Well, my work here is done." She mused, pushing him away from her, crinkling her nose in the process.
Joohyun smiled at Wendy.
"See? What'd I tell you?"🌟
It was a cold, autumn day, but despite that Jungkook and his teammates were sweaty and tired from practice.
Taehyung chucked a bottle of Gatorade at Jungkook, he caught it swiftly, bringing the mouth of the bottle to his lips.
"I'm so tired, but I haven't felt this good in a while."
"Taking out all your feelings in soccer?" Taehyung sighed. "I can relate."
Turning, he nudged Jungkook.
"Look at you, ladies' man.""Huh?" Peeling his eyes away from his phone, he followed Taehyung's sight, noticing Lisa and Yeri talking near the bleachers.
"Oh." He refrained from smiling. "I'll be right back." Grabbing his things, he slung his bag over his shoulder.
Jungkook jogged over to the two girls, Yeri was the first to acknowledge his presence.
"Oh, we weren't here for you."
"Yes, we were." Lisa teased, laughing at Jungkook expression of mock hurt.
"Yeri, I hate you so much."
"I hate you too." She grinned at Lisa. "I prefer your girlfriend to you."
He rolled his eyes, smiling at Lisa. "Yes I know, I prefer her too."
Lisa whined. "Ugh, don't do this mushy couple-stuff out here. I just came by to ask if you wanted anything from the diner. I was just about to go get food."
"I want funnel cakes."
"Of course you do." Yeri sighed. "Do you ever not eat something sweet?"
He shot a wink at Lisa, who gasped, slapping his shoulder.
"Stop it!""You're so disgusting." Yeri muttered. "Lisa, I can go get your food."
"Yes, that would be absolutely amazing. I'll text you what I want."
"I'll text you my order too." Jungkook chimed.
"No. All you're getting is salad and a water."
"Yeri!" He whined. She laughed, turning on her heel to leave.
Once she was gone, Lisa glared at him.
"I can't believe you'd even say that!"
"I didn't say anything!"
"You didn't have to. You're such a perv."
"I'm not." He closed the space between them. "But I wasn't aware you were so close with my cousin?"
"Chill out. I'm just being friendly." She smiled at him. "She's a lot like you though."
"Tell me about it. Makes sense why she wants to be friends with you. We have a decency to like the same things."
He intertwined his hands around her waist, nose brushing against her neck.
"That tickles." She murmured, pushing him away from her. Lisa was unsuccessful, his grip on her too strong.
"Not til I get one of these." He grinned gleefully, gesturing at a kiss. Lisa sighed.
"You're so needy. You always need my attention."
"You're my girlfriend. You're supposed to give me attention." He tilted his head. "I'm waiting."
"Fine. And only because I have places to be and homework to do." She tried to weasel her way out of it by attempting to kiss his cheek, but Jungkook always knew her antics.
He turned his head just in time, catching her lips.
"You thought you could trick me?" He mumbled, a hand reaching to tilt her chin.
Jungkook heard her chuckle.
His attempt at trying to score a make-out with Lisa—one which seemed like hadn't happened in forever—was rudely interrupted by some distant yells from his teammate.
Lisa, grabbing control of her senses, roughly pushed him away, embarrassed.
"Gosh, I have to go, you trickster." She squeezed his hand. "Stop by at my house after practice, please?"
He grinned lazily. "Sure."
He turned, ready to deal with the teasing remarks from Namjoon, perhaps even Taehyung, when his phone suddenly buzzed.
Thinking it was Yeri, maybe hopefully asking what he wanted, he was sadly mistaken.
