"Hey girl, it's been a while since I've seen your face." Lalisa grinned in relief, nudging Yeri's shoulder with hers. The girl with the black leather jacket smiled lightly, then shrugged.

"I guess it has. You've been busy with your own business, and I have with mine as well. Nothing wrong with that."

"Of course not." The blonde took a seat next to her in their math class, noticing the classroom was still noticeably empty.

"I have been very busy. But I did get your cousin a present to make up for my absence, and I did for you too as well."

Yeri scoffed. "Lisa, you didn't have to—"

"I know I didn't. But I wanted to." She pulled out a shimmery green bag from her book bag, nudging it with her fingers towards Yerim's end of the desk.

"Open it."

She arched a brow at the eager blonde, then sighed, pulling out the present from the bag. Inside was a simple golden necklace, with a pierced heart.

"Wow...it's pretty." Yeri always had a thing for jewelry, especially golden necklaces and diamond earrings. Despite having a very emo appearance, she still enjoyed her bling. And a gift from Lalisa wasn't one Yerim had the heart to turn down.

"Thank you." She meant it. Usually she wasn't very genuine with her words, Yeri didn't have much to feel very genuine about. Her life wasn't all that great, but maybe this girl made it seem a little less gloomy.

"It's nothing. And don't worry; I didn't steal it."

"I would've preferred if you did." Yeri teased back.

Lisa grinned. "Want me to put it on for you?"

"I..." She blinked a few times. "Y-Yeah, sure." Then handed the chain to her.

The blonde smiled happily once again, she seemed to be in a much better mood today. Maybe it was the fact that she finally celebrated her anniversary with Jungkook, or her and the girls weren't fighting anymore. How she managed to have such a bright face all the time, yet still hold the intimidation that Jennie did, Yerim did not know. It seemed to be just a Queens thing.

"Don't feel bad if you didn't get me anything," Lisa chimed, reading the girl's thoughts. "It's nothing. You're a close friend to me Yeri, I feel like I can tell you anything and you'd understand."

She turned back to look at her. "I swear it must run in your family, because I feel the same way around Jungkook too."

"Ah," Yeri laughed. "He learns it all from me. For sure."

"Who learns what?"

Yeri's smile faltered slightly when she noticed Jeon Jungkook watching the two of them as he entered the classroom. He smiled at Lisa instantly.

"I got Yeri a present." Lisa pointed to the necklace Yeri was wearing. "It's pretty, don't you think?"

He turned to look at Yeri, and the two cousins shared a long look. She knew what he was trying to say to her, though Lalisa was oblivious to every second of it.

"Yes," Yeri nodded. "It's pretty, Lis. You're such an amazing friend."

Friend.

Yeri had a feeling that her heart would stay pierced, just like that necklace.

Their group of friends hadn't felt so distant before. Seulgi hadn't spoken to Sooyoung much, or Irene. Or Yeri.
