Letting out a small huff of hair, Hoseok stuck a hand into his pockets, then glanced up at the sky."Don't be like that." Yoongi mumbled teasingly. Hobi glanced over momentarily, rolling his eyes.
"I don't trust the woods. I don't know how you can just keep coming back here as if people haven't died out here before."
"Relax." Yoongi's hand deftly snaked around Hoseok's, enclosing their fingers together. "I don't think A would want us dead yet."
"How reassuring."
Yoongi snorted. "I come out here to get some air. I've been thinking a lot lately, and my brain hurts."
"About?"
"Jennie. A, Solji, Dahyun..."
Hoseok could hear the male evidently let out a small sigh.
"You."
"Me?"
"Yeah. It's amazing that you're back, really it is. But I'm worried if your parents get hold of you again. What happens then?"
"It won't."
"How can you be so sure?"
"Because," Hoseok smiled gently. Always positive, the two were like polar opposites.
Day and night. That's what Yoongi loved about him. Because the sun always made the moon shine a little brighter at night.
"I trust Jennie." He finished. "Even you should know this."
"Jennie messes up sometimes."
"Well, Whatever happens, just let it happen. If there's one thing that simulation of hell taught me, is that you only live once. I felt I was going to be stuck there, even though I had the small hope that you guys would find me."
"Which you did," He added, then with his other hand, tousled his dark roots. "but, I know now to live in moment. You should try too."
"Wise words." Yoongi finally uttered, sighing. "I'll try."
"Atta' boy." He heard Hoseok laugh, then a squeeze of his hand.
"Just curious, why were you thinking about Jennie?"
"Not jealous are we?"
"Of course not." Hoseok scoffed. "Jealousy is a sign of insecurity. And I believe that Jennie has no particular interest in you anymore. She's actually a huge fan of us."
Yoongi tried not to smile.
"Well?"
"Jennie has a pretty smile doesn't she?"
"Yes, she does." His eyes met the side profile of his boyfriend's face. Yoongi on the other hand, glanced up at the large pine trees surrounding them.
"She hides so many things behind that smile. And it worries me because it seemed like when Taehyung finally started changing around her, it was like...he became the guy I used to be. Not in a bad way. Because Jennie used to tell me everything. The things she couldn't tell Chae, Jisoo, or Lisa—she always told me. Because she trusted me."
"And now she's avoiding Taehyung. And I think I know why. But it scares me now because she's literally alone. Jennie doesn't open up easily to anyone, she doesn't trust many because she's been betrayed one too many times."
He shook his head. "I'm worried what she'll do without anyone."
"Then go to her." Hoseok urged softly. Yoongi smiled bitterly.
