Jennie didn't even bother with a good morning to either of her parents, just immediately reached for a half-finished glass of orange juice from the preceding day. When she turned, both adults' eyes were on her, but Jiyong turned away immediately.

She pressed her back to the door of the fridge, closing it, and sipped her juice slowly. A lot was on her mind lately, but she hadn't bothered to think about why her parents were still home. Suho's conversation with Dahyun long before their senior trip...the night she died, it meant something.

Was there something her family was hiding from her? She knew she wouldn't get the answers from them, so once again Jennie Kim would have to snoop around.

"I heard you broke up with that Kim kid. Taejung?"

"Taehyung." She corrected dully, knuckles paling more. "His name is Taehyung."

"Right." Sandara sighed. "He was handsome, what happened?"

"I don't think it concerns you."

"Jennie." Her father warned. "How long are you going to keep shutting us out of your life?"

"I'm not shutting you out." She brushed back her hair. "You weren't invited to know everything in the first place."

"I think we should be obligated. Murder Jennie, you've been accused for murder. And what—you thought we wouldn't notice?"

"I wouldn't be surprised if you didn't." She snapped back. "Wouldn't put that past you."

"Everything we have done is to give you and Suho everything you could need..."

"Really?" Their daughter laughed aloud. "Mom, if you knew what we really needed, you wouldn't have left the house so often. I wonder what you really were doing this whole time, I'm sure business doesn't take seventeen years out of someone's life."

"Jennie—"

"You should stop going through my room." She interrupted, heading upstairs to her bedroom. "If I had really killed Dahyun, I wouldn't be stupid enough to leave evidence in my room."

"So River Birch." Lisa shoved a hand in her jacket pockets, walking in time with Jisoo. "What are we even looking for?"

"Honestly," The shorter girl sighed. "I don't know. This place is so big, but so small at the same time. Everything's just so complicated. I would go to Suho's house, but it's certainly not our place to go question him about Solji's whereabouts."

"I wish Jennie would've been free today...to talk to him."

"Give her a break Lisa." Jisoo shook her head. "You two are always so hard on each other. She just broke up with Taehyung, she's probably wasting her time at some useless place trying to not to regret what she did."

"I just can't believe he cheated on her...Taehyung was never that kind of person. Sure, he was a player, but Tae seemed like he really really liked her. Maybe more than liked."

Lisa knew him better than any of them, asides from Jennie. It didn't make sense, he wasn't a cheater. There had to have been some misunderstanding. There was no way he moved on from Jennie's supposed death during that summer, he hardly talked to any of them then.

"Who was she, by the way?"

"Who?" Lisa glanced down at her phone.
