Sancocho:
You had recently came back home from a little visit from the republic. You had some days off from work so you decided to visit your aubelita since you hadn't seen her in a while. Jin wasn't able to come due to work so you decided to take a trip down there yourself. While you where down there you had food you hadn't had since you where a kid including your favorite , sancocho.
You weren't a terrible cook but, you weren't the best so that's why you decided to bring back a little bit of home back home. Your abuelita had made you some sancocho to take back home her exact words being
" Asegúrate de darle un poco a ese apuesto hombre tuyo!"
And you hated to disappoint your aubelita so you did as you where told and brought back some sancocho.
Jin.was.in.heaven.
"Baby what is this?" He would ask a mouth full of rice holding up a lump of yucca.
"It's yucca...kinda like a potato"you would explain all while he stuffed his face.
Min yoongi
Mangú:
Ahhhh...mangú....it's what makes a Dominican Dominican. The puré de plátanos, queso frito, Salami dominicano it's like heaven on a plate.
What better way to wake up mr.min yoongi by the smell of freshly mashed plantains. You had went to the farmers market the night before getting all the ingredients to make it for breakfast.
Just as you put the plate of mangú on the table a groggy yoongi walked down the stairs yawing a bit.
"What are you making"? He'd ask placing a soft kiss on your forehead hugging your waist.
"Mangú"you'd say simply kissing him softly as you handed him a plate giving him a fork.
You were a bit nervous giving it to him since he's never tried it.
But you soon relaxed seeing his eyes go wide in pleasure as he moaned out biting into the fried cheese and plantains.
"Oh my god..what is this"?he would ask gobbling his food making you laugh.
"Heaven"you'd reply simply.
Jung hoseok
Bandera Dominicana:
A simplistic dish. You'd guys be out on a date in your home town of Santo Domingo exploring the beautiful city. Of course being there made you hungry so you guys stopped at a childhood spot you used to eat at all the time.
"Hola señora Rios"you'd greet your second mother figure as she'd smile kissing your cheek.
"Ay dios mios mi bebe y/n te he echado de meno...... y quien es este hombre muy guapo?" She's ask as hoseok stood confused. He knew some Spanish but Dominicans talk way to fast and loud.
"este es mi novio ... es de corea"you'd smile as hoseok leaned down to your ear.
"What did she say?"he's ask making you smile.
"That your very handsome"you smile making him chuckle as ms Rios hurried back to the kitchen before going and getting a piping hot plate of bandera dominicana.
You smiled thanking her and before you could even pick up your fork hoseok was already half way done grunting and moaning with each bite.
"Coño better be good"you'd giggle talking a bite yourself as he'd look at you crazy as hell taking the plate for himself.
"We got money....get yo own"he'd say with a mouth full of meat and rice.
Kim Namjoon
chicharrón:
Namjoon loves to learn about new cultures especially yours.so rich with history and language. So what better way to experience la república dominicana with some classic chicharrón.
You had decided to make some with a side of yucca and rice.the house smelled of spices as Namjoon walked in completely drained from practice.
"Welcome home joonie" you'd say kissing him softly hugging him as he'd let out a sigh kissing you back
"Hi baby girl practice was he-........what are you cooking?"he'd ask curiously opening the pot of steamed yucca making you flick him on the neck.
"Put that down"you'd smile grabbing him a plate putting some rice and yucca on the plate with some chicharrón on it handing it to him.
He'd smile thanking you before grabbing a piece of chicharrón taking a bite out of it.
His eyes would go wide as he examined the piece of meat before literally swallowing it and the others. He was eating like a god damn fool.
"Kim Namjoon slow down you're gonna choke"you giggled wiping some grease from his cheek as he looked at you cheeks full of food.
"Huh"? He'd reply making you laugh.

If you guys didn't know I'm half Dominican half black so I come from a very mixed culture. I'm not the best at speaking Spanish I actually had to ask my dad for help in some things🤦🏾♀️but this is literally the food I eat when I visit my abuelita! I'm bringing a bit of my culture you you guys! A new part should be up soon! I love you guys stay safe💖💖💖💖
