____ ✿____ Part One: 'Me.....' ____ ✿____ Chapter One: The Girl on the Beach ____ ✿____ The Briny air of the beach, encased namjoon's senses in a hazy wave of the familiar nostalgic sent off the beach. The low tides of the sea, sat in a repetitive cycle of crashing onto the salty shore, only to retrieve back to start the cycle all over again.
This was normal for Namjoon. Everyday, at around 11:30 am, he'd leave his small beach house a few blocks from the mostly secluded beach and spend his day there. He enjoyed the time alone, often being seen nose deep in a book, Or closely examining his pet hermit crab named earl.
There really wasn't anything better to do in Roland's Cove, the pretty much deserted beach town he'd lived in all his life. Everyday the same faces, most being older adults, coming to live their dream retirement on a nice sunny beach.
There wasn't really any kids namjoons age around town. Well, there were,..just not his type of crowd. Most kids in town partied on the beach, went skinny dipping and lit bondfires, the large gatherings always causing for a stir Of some sort, causing for petty drama the next day at school.
Despite that, he did manage to snag a few friends while living in this deserted little town.
Taehyung and yoongi. Both being his best, and only friends. Taehyung was a bit of a ditz, in the nicest way possible. He often wandered off on his own if hanging with Namjoon or Yoongi, always seeming to find himself talking to someone or something. He played dumb a lot, which Namjoon never understood, considering Taehyung was top of their class both academic wise and athletic wise, which made him popular among the ladies.
Yoongi was a different story. He was quiet for the most part. Not really ever uttering a word unless spoken too. He seemed disconnected with his surroundings a lot of the times, often looking as though he was daydreaming, but that wasn't the case. Namjoon grew to understand that Yoongi was just very observant. A little too observant if you ask Namjoon. He always seemed to pin point any little detail or small change about someone or something.
All in all, it was an unlikely group of friends, but nonetheless they were amazing friends,And Namjoon wouldn't want it any other way.
He never found himself popular with girls at the school,despite what Yoongi and Taehyung said. Maybe he was just oblivious, who knows? The girls at his school were what he and his friends called 'Tapeworms'.
