Louis' P.O.V.

" C'mon babe or we're gonna be late for our reservation." I said, as I was sitting in the bed to tie my shoes. Eleanor was in the bathroom finishing her makeup. She really and truly didn't need it but she insisted on wearing it. At one point I hid all of her makeup from her for a week. She got really angry with me and we didn't speak for a week. I gave it back because I couldn't stand not talking to her.

Eleanor is the light of my day. My life for that matter.

Eleanor walked out of the bathroom. She was stunning. She had on a black dress with diamonds on the sleeves. They weren't real of course. Her high heels were blue and her hair and makeup was done perfectly. Eleanor was stunning just like always.

" What?" El asked looking down at her dress.

" Nothing. You're just absolutely stunning." I pecked her on the lips. I grabbed the key to our hotel room putting it in Eleanor's bag thing, as we walked out the door and to the elevator. Once outside we got in a rental car. I told the driver the address of the restaurant.

Eleanor and I held hands but the ride was silent. Not an awkward silence but a comfortable one. I was beginning to get nervous about the whole proposal. I wasn't backing out or anything but I'm worried that I'm going to mess up and she'll reject me. That'll just be awful. I'm not really a planner so I'm going to speak from the heart and hope my heart speaks good.

The car pulled outside the restaurant, we got out walking up to the entrance. I put my hand on the small of Eleanor's back guiding her inside.

" Do you have a reservation" The woman at the podium thing asked. ( You know the thing when you first walk into a fancy restaurant. Yeah that.)

" Stevens." I answered. I couldn't exactly use Tomlinson because that would cause too much havoc. Using a fake name was just easier. The woman nodded, grabbing two menus and guiding us to our table. Our table was outside. I pulled Eleanor's chair out for her. She smiled up at me as I took my own seat.

" Can I start you off with some drinks." The waitress politely asked taking the notepad and opening it.

" Water will be fine." Eleanor said. The waitress looked to me. " Water will be fine. Thanks"

The waitress left to get our drinks. She would be back soon to get our food order. I took this time to look over at our view. We were seated by a bridge. There was water underneath. The setting sun made the water glisten. The sky was orange, blue, pink, yellow, purple, and red. The best sky I had ever seen. The waitress came back with our water.

" Would you like to start with the appetizers or just go ahead and start with the main course?" The waitress asked. I looked across the table to Eleanor.

"Umm.. We'll go ahead and start with the main meal if you don't mind."   Eleanor ordered chicken Parmesan with a side of spinach. I ordered Chicken Parmesan with a side of buttered green beans. ( IDK if those are even real things you can order at a restaurant.) We made small talk while we ate. It was mostly Eleanor talking, which I enjoyed very much. Her voice was one of an angel.

I paid for our meal. " Walk with me there's something I want to show you." I grabbed Eleanor's hand and led her down the street.

" Have you ever wondered who you're going to spend the rest of your life with?" I asked, looking over to Eleanor.

" Yeah. I guess I have but things never turn out the way you want. You can dream about it. I always hoped it would be you." She said the last part quietly.

" I have. I think about her every day." I grinned wildly to myself. I stopped in front of the fountain that I wanted to bring Eleanor to. I pulled two coins from my pocket. I made Eleanor face me as I grabbed both of her hands.

" Make a wish." I whispered, placing the coin in her palm.

"On three." Eleanor said.

" ONE"

"TWO"

"THREE" We both threw the coins into the fountain, making our own wishes.

" So what did you wish for." Eleanor, turned toward me, grinning widely.

" I can't tell you. Not yet anyway. If I do it might not come true and then I'd be crushed." I said. Eleanor made an 'o' shape with her mouth.

" Well Ok. I wished for you to kiss me." I chuckled softly but didn't make a move to kiss her.

" Eleanor you know I love you right?" I waited for Eleanor to give me a response. She slowly nodded.

" Ok. There is only one happiness in the life. To love and to be loved." I grasped Eleanor's hands, lightly swinging them. I stared intently into her eyes as I spoke. " 1 universe, 8 planets, 204 countries, 809 islands, 7 seas, and I had the privelage to meet you. I want you today, tomorrow, next week, and for  the rest of my life." I paused, taking in a breath.

" I have completely fallen for you. Everything you do, everything you say, everything you are. You're my first thought in the morning, you're my last thought before I fall asleep, and you're almost every thought inbetween. I fell in love with you." Eleanor's eyes began to well up with tears.

" I fell in love with you. But I don't just stay with you by default as if there's no one else available to me. I stay with you because I choose to, every day that I wake up, every day that we fight or lie to each other or disappoint each other. I choose you over and over again and you choose me." I let go of Eleanor's hands. They both went up to her face to wipe away a few tears.

I reached into my pocket pulling out the small box. Eleanor's hands flew up to her mouth. I got down on one knee. " So Eleanor Jane Calder, Will you marry me?" I asked.

Eleanor nodded her head vigorously. " Yes. Yes. YES!" Eleanor pulled me up. I hugged her tightly. I leaned back to kiss her. The kiss was pasionate and full of many emotions. I pulled back. I placed the ring on Eleanor's shaking hand.

" You wanna know what I wished for." I asked. I tangled Eleanor's and my fingers together as we began to walk back to get a car. She laid her head on my shoulder.

" Hmmm" She hummed.

" I wished that you would say yes."

" I love you so so much. More than you could ever love me" Eleanor placed soft kisses on my shoulder.

" That's impossible because I love you more. I always will"
