Wren | Dr. Washington

"So, Wren. How have you been?"

"I've been well. How are you?"

"I'm good. You seem well rested."

"Well, I have been getting a lot more rest. Jules--Juliana and I have been sharing a bed more recently."

"Oh really? That's great."

"..."

"Listen, Wren, the real reason I still asked you to come in today is because I believe that you are in denial."

"Denial? What are you talking about?"

"You like, Juliana, no? As more than a friend?"

"No, we're just friends."

"That's exactly what I'm talking about. You like her. A lot. A lot more than you let on or allow yourself to think."

"Really, Dr. Washington,  I don't like her--"

"So what you're telling me is that you feel nothing romantic towards Juliana. You never feel butterflies around her, you never crave her presence, you never think of her outside of when you two are together?"

"..."

"Its not healthy to deny feelings, Wren. If you like her, you like her. The worst that can happen out of your crush is that she says that she doesn't like you. Which I doubt will happen."

"That's the thing, Dr. Washington. I'm afraid it might turn into something more than a crush. And I end up heartbroken from one reason or another."

"Wren, negativity will ruin your life. Have hope. Have positivity. I promise it won't hurt. Go for it. Go for her, Wren."
