'Welcome to the Opera Populaire ladies'

Clary's POV

'Mademoiselle Giry we have come from The-'
'Yes I know where you have come from' snaps Mme Giry cutting Lizzie off. I stifle my laugh as Liz looks shocked. No one in my time of knowing Lizzie has dared to cut her off. Elizabeth Cloverfield was known for being very outgoing. I kind of pity anyone who tries to court her for her beauty 'cause she will give them a mouthful. That's also why someone has yet to court me. Lizzie scares them all off but I know it's just because she cares about me and wants me to be with someone who is truly worth it.

'Girls as we are a bit chaotic today due to it being the day of the performance. Meg will take you to your dorms there u will find your slave costumes for this performance. Now go whilst I talk to monsieur Reyer. You will get a tour tomorrow.'

After that she waved over the blond girl who I now knew as Meg to show us our dorms.

After putting our trunks under the cot. We quickly changed into the Hannibal slave costumes.(shown here)

Me and Lizzie put on our ballet pumps and ran down towards the stage. When we got there I heard this god awful voice screeching. Noticing Christine and Meg we walk over. 'Christine who is that singing?'
'That's Carlotta the "famous" opera singer.'
Wow I thought she must have some real loyal supporters. Next on stage came Umbado Piangi (the male opera singer)
As he was singing monsieur Ryder stoped him again.
'It's Rome not Roma try it again signor'
'As you can see rehearsals for the opera Hannibal is fully underway'
Everyone groaned at this new intruder to the practise.
'Monsieur lefevre we are rehearsing' complained Reyer.

'Sorry, ladies and gentlemen please listen up. For a while now there have been rumours of my imminent retirement. I can know tell you these are all true and I welcome the two gentlemen who now own the Opera Populaire. Monsieur Andre and Monsieur Firmin.'
