First kiss

I sprinted down to the stairs and crashed right into Mark.
'Mark?'
'Are you okay?'
'No, we're not safe here. Where's Christine?'
'She ran to the roof with the vicomte. Hey wait!'
By then I had already ran off towards the roof with mark on my tail. Something bad was going to happen on the roof. As I neared the top I took a sharp left and went through a hidden door. I crept onto the snowed roof and hid behind a statue with Mark crouching behind me his arm casually placed on my side.

Raoul was trying calm Christine down but she was having none of it. Then he led her away from edge and started to sing for her. How sweet.

They ended the song with a kiss  and exited the roof. I was about to come out of my hiding place when I saw a figure come into the moonlight. It was Erik. He staggered towards a fallen rose. He dropped to his knees in pain. Then he started to sing.
'I gave you my music, let your song take wing.
And now how you've repaid me, denied me and betrayed me. He was born to love you when he heard you sing.'

It finally clicked, he loved her, he was doing all this for her but unfortunately she doesn't return the gesture. In the background I could still hear Raoul and Christine singing. Erik got up suddenly, it made me jump.
'You will curse the day you did not do all that the phantom asked of you!'

Erik then fled through a side door and disappeared. I slowly got up and looked at Mark who looked at me sadly. He pulled me into an embrace whilst I quietly cried. I looked up and saw love in his eyes. He leaned forward searching my face for any hesitation, I gave none and met him halfway.
His soft lips touched mine. It was bliss, all thought of my brother, all the stress I'd been feeling just vanished as we kissed, it was just him and I on this roof. I pulled away after a bit blushing. He chuckled lightly and grabbed my hand, he led me back to my dorm. I slipped back inside after saying goodnight. Sighing in content I flopped into my cot and passed out into dreamless sleep.

Unknown pov

How dare he kiss her Clary belongs to me. I came down from the roof to the streets of Paris. He better not get used to having her in his arms. She will be mine soon enough even if I have to kill anyone that comes between us. I smiled a sadistic smile and sauntered to the local pub for well deserved pint.
