Luke now ^

Clary's pov

'Luke' I said in shock. He looked down at me and smirked, I scowled back at him ignoring the butterflies in my stomach that are there by him smiling. 'Clary, now that you've met my brother why don't we go out for a nice celebratory meal?' Asked Mark.
'Umm....actually I wanted to stay in tonight. See you in the morning' I rushed out then I sprinted back to my dorm and slammed the door shut.

Lizzie was waiting for me. 'You must have a real bad night' I nodded. 'Okay, sit down and share' I sighed. 'Do you remember Luke Slavince?'
'Yes, the bastard who left you broken-hearted and one less friend?'
'Yes him, he's back'
Lizzie gasped 'I'm going to kill him for coming here' she stormed determinedly towards the door. 'Woah! He's not done anything' yet.

After, I managed to calm her down we sat on the beds and she asked me 'So how do you feel about him'
'Well....I feel these funny feelings in my stomach....'
'Well then you still like him simples'
'But Lizzie I like Matt' I groaned and put my head in my hands 'I'm so confused, tell me what to do' I looked up at her with puppy dog eyes. 'Clary I can't tell you what to do. You have to do what you feel right but I advise you to wait awhile until one of them shows their true colours.'
I nodded and hugged her 'your right, thank you'
'I always am' we both burst out laughing. That's what I liked about Lizzie, her uncanny ability to make me laugh.

Mark's pov

This is "perfect" my bastard brother has decided to come back from his trip and see how I'm doing how nice. This totally screws with my plan. As earlier I saw Luke staring at Clary...with love? That's not supposed to happen. She's meant to love ME.

'Brother how nice to see you again' I looked up and saw Lukas saunter in.
'Lukas what a pleasant surprise. I trust the trip went well.'
'As well as ever dear brother, it's a shame your so uptight. Have a little fun.'
'Lukas...'
'Why the formalities? Luke please'
'As I was saying our father is mad at you Lukas he cares about you and wants you settle down with a nice girl'
'Brother, Brother so naive' he says shaking his head 'don't you see your father stopped caring the moment he found out I was not his'
At this I stood up why can't he see I'm trying to help him.
'Look Lukas our father said if you don't separate yourself and your habits, he very willing to bid you farewell and cut all ties including the money'
'Let him disown me then see if I care'
'But he's your father' I argue however he interrupts me.
'Let me make something very clear.' He leans over the desk so we are nose to nose 'that man is NOT my father so stop saying 'our father' because he's NOT he's only your father. Now if you excuse me I have to go and apologise to Clary' he states standing up. Wait Clary. I rush to the door and block his path. 'What now brother' he sighs. Luke was a bit taller than me making me slightly intimidated but I swallowed my fear. 'Don't go near Clary she doesn't need you tainting her innocence with your f****ed up brain or else I'll make your life a living hell.' His eyes, if possible, turned even darker. 'You know what? The apple really doesn't fall far from the tree. Your threats, if you can even call them that, don't bother me brother I can do whatever I want' with that he pushed past me and stalked down the hall. I crushed the pen in my hand and threw it against the wall. I was frustrated. I ran to Clary's dorm then I realised I wanted to protect her from everything, even my own brother.

I would even go as far as to kill any person who hurts her.
