A/n this chapter will just be clary's flashback to when she was bullied a lot.

Clary's POV

It's been 15 years since I was dumped on the steps of the dance academy for England. I have enjoyed myself. I have a new friend called Elizabeth but I call her Lizzie or Liz. The manager and dance instructor Janice Giry runs a strict but fair rule. I've never got on her bad side.

I was walking down the stone corridors in the moonlight as I couldn't sleep. It was peaceful and tranquil at night I started to hum a song I made up.

Night time sharpens, heightens each sensation
Darkness wakes and stirs imagination
Silently the senses abandon their defenses
Helpless to resist the notes I write
For I compose the music of the night
Slowly, gently night unfurls it's splendor
Grasp it, sense it, tremulous and tender
Hearing is believing, music is deceiving
Hard as lightening, soft as candlelight
Dare you trust the music of the night
Close your eyes for your eyes will only tell the truth
and the truth isn't what you want to see
In the dark it is easy to pretend
That the truth is what it ought to be and listen to the music of the night-

'Look who it is the little purple eyed freak' taunted Zoe.
Zoe Clive is the local bully she thinks she is the best singer, dancer and basically good at everything. I also know that she is jealous of my natural talent to be able to do all of the above and a bit more.

'Zoe' I acknowledge her turning away to look out the window once again.
'Look at me you freak I found something interesting under your pillow'
I whipped my head around realising she had the letter I had with me when I was left here.
'Would you like me to read it?' I shook my head. Zoe just shrugged and proceeded to open the letter.

'Dear Clarice,
I am the nurse who brought you into the world. I'm sorry about your mother she died giving birth to you and your brother. Yes Clarice you have a brother. However, I advise you not to go looking for your brother he is a monster and an abomination. I left you in England due to your mother's last wish.
I hope this has answered all the questions you have and this letter is to be given to you when you are older.
Love nurse Judith'
