"Are you sure you know what you're getting yourself into?" I asked Arora who had freshly prepared breakfast for me.
Being with her felt good but I was still scared for her.
"I know Lee. Don't worry about me. I'll be fine." She said handing me the cup of tea.
I never thought she would stay and invest so much of herself for me. She loved me, I believed it. But you never know what life shows you and she had proved her love by doing this.
"When was your doctor's appointment??" She asked.
I opened my phone to see the time. It said 3 o clock.
"It's in an hour."
After making some calculations in her mind she stated.
"Okay. Well after the appointment you have to meet Aunt Lisa she said it's important for you."
Seeing her being all sensible and mature made me gather some strength.
"You have to fight this Lee." I muttered to myself.
"Umm sorry? I can't hear you."
"Nothing much. Just wondering how can I deny you?" Smirking I said to her.
Her lips curved in a smile.

"How may I help you sir?"
The receptionist greeted me as I entered the hospital.
Nervousness and anxiety swept through me as I replied.
"Umm. I have an appointment with Dr.shiv."
On hearing me she instantly opened the appointment register, her fingers went on the recent page and stopped.
"Lewis Carnical. Is it?" The brown haired girl with big glasses inquired.
"Yeah, that's me." My gaze was fixed at a clock on the wall as the girl guided me.
"Okay. Go straight from here then take the first left."
I've always had big dreams, where people would want to travel the world; I would always prefer to travel space. Space always thrilled me. It filled me with a joy of the unknown. It made me curious, it invited me to count the stars twinkling like a sea of diamonds in a pitch black void. I was fearless back then. I could go and never come back until that day. Till that day I never thought the curiosity of the unknown would ever haunt me the way it is now. Earlier I wanted to overcome the darkness of space and discover new light. but now all I sensed was how black and evil darkness could be.
Finding and Walking into Dr.Shiv's cabin seemed like one of the longest journeys I had ever come across.
Dr. Shiv was a forty year old man with a small beard, siting in the centre of the office. The office was well equipped with white walls and comfortable chairs.
He asked me to sit on the patient's chair across the desk from him.
"So how are you doing Mr.Lewis?" The doctor asked me while setting the stethoscope aside.
What a great question it was. Asking a black blood how was he doing?
Clearing my throat I replied.
"Umm I don't know."
"Don't be nervous but you need to be brave now." He noticed the sweat on my hands.
"We have looked through your reports, you might get to stage four in a few weeks. You still have some time to decide how you want to be treated. Most people like you kill themselevs before they reach stage four. On stage four, you are considered medically unfit to stand in the society and have to be admitted to the hospital. The doctors further decide what to do with the patient." Dr.Shiv added.
Kill themselevs ? How could the doctors even say that. Aren't they meant to save patients? Something about these doctors didn't feel right. It looked as if they were faking it all. I wondered what aunt Lisa had for me.
"Until then you can take this managing treatment. It will control the negative thoughts you have for some time." He added further.
Furthermore, they told me the time of my next appointment, which was after a week.
He didn't even ask me what I felt. He just got it off his head I guess.

*******
After the appointment I hurried towards the cafe outside hospital where I was supposed to meet aunt Lisa and Arora. Due to the hurry. I almost bumped into a nurse too.
The cafe was small. The place was out of sight in a corner of milestone hospital. I had never been there.
On stepping in the small interior I almost immediately found the table where they were sitting. Arora had changed and was looking more fresh now. She had ordered ice cream for the three of us already.
Whereas Aunt Lisa with her mustard coloured dead straight hair was waving at me to come and sit.
"Hey. Aunt Lisa. How are you?"
I addressed her as I sat.

Seeing them together made my thoughts flicker back to the day when I confessed my feelings to Arora. After saying yes. The first thing she did was Make me meet Aunt Lisa. She had been really close to her. I had hesitated at first but eventually agreed to meet her.
Hell I was so anxious that day I had slipped and fallen on my head.
I still remembered when aunt Lisa had asked me.
"So for how long will you actually stay with her???"
"Till death do us apart."
I had replied glaring at Arora with a smirk.

How confident I had been back then. This was the only thing I wanted to turn out perfectly and yet It was getting ruined.
"I'm fine dear how are you?" Aunt replied.
"Good. Maybe." I tried to laugh.
She looked confused. She opened her mouth once and then closed it.
"You know you have the same eyes like her." Ultimately she said.
Like her? Like who? I didn't have any siblings she must be talking about my mother. But mother's eye colour was grey while mine were brown. How come she say that?
"No I don't." I shrugged my shoulders.
"You do Lee." Arora kicked in.
"You're talking about my mother right?" What were they even trying to prove here?
"No we're talking about your sister."
My sister? Were they insane they both knew I didn't have one.
"The sister I never had??"
Had I been called here to talk about these worthless things?
"We're talking about Anna." Aunt Lisa replied and handed me some papers.
"According to these reports. Anna Micheal was your biological sister."

**********

Stay tuned for answers.
Yours truly.
