"Anna?"
"Yes Lee. It's me."
"I thought you were..."
"It's a long story. You need to sit down for that." Anna patted on the vacant space beside her.
I strolled forward and precisely put myself together to sit and not hurt her. Studying her face.
"You have the same eyes as mom. The same shade." I said. My Shoulders stiff and eyes wide as shifted up and replied.
"Yeah I know... and your eyes resemble both of our parents. Brown from mother and deep like father."
"Father. He was brave." I said as he flashed in my mind at Anna's mention.
"Yes he was." She sighed lost in her own thoughts. Then a revelation struck her.
"Lee." She widened her eyes and started "y-y-you remember?"
"Yeah it's a long story too. After yours."
She gave a faint smile, her hand reached out to me and with tears filled eyes she embraced me.
I returned her embrace. Still warm and safe like old times. I don't remember how long we stayed in the position remembering the life we had lost. And feeling that we both weren't alone anymore.
"I missed you Lee." She pulled back.
"Never leave me again." It was true that I had lost my memory. But it was also true that when I got it back. With a life spent with her, my heart had always ached at the thought of her, mother and father. Knowing that they weren't alive. Anna had always protected me from everything. She was the strong one while I was the dependent and moody kid. She used to handle me well.
She smiled at me and then looked down at her hands. Her face reflecting a frown.
"Stage three. Black blood. I was out of my mind. The doctors gave pills that worsened my situation. Lev told me about it, the senior doctors had passed my case onto him. He had always worked for them he was deceived too. He was made to think the pills helped while they never did. He had taken the position of his father after his death. Who was also a doctor. When lev found out, I was already a wreck. He had been more of a friend to me than a doctor, so he moved in with me. Took care of me at my worst. I always feard the day he would come to know the real Anna. He wanted to make some cure for the disease but I knew there was only one. You. My conditions got worse day by day. After writing you everything to you, I decided to take my own life. I was about to hang myself to death when he stopped me. Things got complicated and I had to tell him about who I was. He somehow found my identity alot more appealing for me to live. He still does'nt know about you. It was risky. He wanted to make things right so hence we came here. He has kept me away from the shocks of black blood through these drips since then.
"But you look weak."
"Yes apparently I can't eat more than a few bites in a day. It's difficult but I want lev to try his way. He has faith.
"Okay. So where is this Lev?" I shifted backwards and said.
"He visits everyday. But it's been two days. He has'nt returned."
She had been living here alone.
The world is cruel. It had always been. Anna had always saved me. But now she lay in front of me. Almost defeated. I opened my mouth to say something when I heard footsteps.
"He's here." Anna exclaimed.
I reciprocated back to see a tall figure standing. His Crimson blue eyes reminded me of Arora. His hair, dyed black. His black jeans and a sweat shirt made him look like a well brought up twenty five year old.
"Hands up. Whoever you are."
He pulled out a gun on spotting me with Anna.
Before I could register what was happening around me Anna spoke up.
"Stop Lev. He's my brother."
Shock crossed his face, his mouth dropping slightly open.
"Your brother??" He gave Anna a surprised look.
"Yeah."
"I'm sorry. It's just no one knows about this place other than Anna. I was a little shocked."
"It's okay but it's my fathers lab. So I know it too."
"So you're saying that you did'nt die in the fire?" He studied me.
"Wait how do you know???" Anna interrupted us. My thoughts drifted to when she had mentioned lev not knowing. Being risky. So how was he familiar of the incident that took place years ago. Anna gazed at me for a while and then waited for him to reply.
"Umm..well it's a long story. Lets just say I researched."
"Oh Are'nt we getting alot of long stories?" Anna grinned and I nearly chukled.
She was right. We were.
"Okay. Now would anyone of you mind changing my drip? It's finished."
It was then when I realized her voice was getting faint and faint by time I jumed up and reached for the drip. Lev also did the same and we ended up crashing into eachother. My shoulders touched the drip stand that could have fallen if Lev had'nt picked it up halway. Noticing the pipe still attached to Anna hand. We both looked at eachother and sighed.
This sure was going to be a long story.

So how was it? Anna's return?
