Why, hello there! You're probably wondering why I'm randomly uploading this on a day that isn't Wednesday or Thursday; I do have a reason! You see, this Wednesday, August 13th, I start color guard practices at my school! These practices go from 9am to 5pm, Mon-Fri. As you can see, this will *majorly* cut down on my time for writing. Hopefully, however, my updates will continue to be fairly quick until school starts (which you all know is when they *really* slow down), but if I'm gone for a week or two occasionally please don't shoot me! I plan to continue trying my hardest to put up good content(: Also, at the end of this chapter there will be a VERY important announcement, so please stay tuned for that! Anyways, without further ado, here's chapter 12! Enjoy!

After the whole situation with Skarmory and Mt. Steel, things calmed down around Pokemon Square for a little bit. RaccoonEye, Zach, and I preformed little side rescue missions to pass the time, and everything was fairly peaceful. Sometimes, it was even hard to remember the Pokemon world was in danger at all.
But that all changes on the morning of the first earthquake.

***THREE MONTHS LATER***
I looked around. I was in the field Zach and I had purchased for our Rescue Team, but it appeared like our base hadn't been built yet.
The tall grasses, wild and untamed, swayed slightly, though I couldn't detect any wind.
Suddenly, a tall, elegant figure appeared. It was clearly a Pokemon, but my foggy brain struggled to come up with a name. It was almost like the first days when I had become a Pokemon, and still knew nothing about this world. It was extremely infuriating then, and it's extremely infuriating now.
The Pokemon brushed their slim hands over the tops of the grasses as they made their way over to me.
Warm red eyes, like the embers in a fire, gazed at me appraisingly. "Young human, we speak at last."
I startle. The Pokemon's voice is melodic; soft and feminine.
She brings her hands up to a red thorn protruding from her chest, clutching it lightly. Around her feet, something that looks like a white silk dress swirls, though it can't be a dress because it looks like it's actually attached to her.
"How... H-how did you know I'm a human? Who are you?"
She smiles. "Why, you don't know who I am?" she asks.
I frantically shake my head no, becoming more confused and alarmed by the second. While this Pokemon seems mild and wise, something about her strange calmness unnerves me.
Feeling uneasy, I shift nervously in my position on the grass.
She lets out a thoughtful sigh. "Who I am will become clear to you soon enough. But that's not what I'm here to talk to you about. Young human, are you aware of your purpose in this world?"
I frown. "My purpose? Wasn't I just randomly put here?"
Then again, I recall my first moments waking up in Tiny Woods. In those first seconds of blind confusion, my only solid thought was that I was here to help. In the turmoil and self doubt of these past few months, I had forgotten about that. But that's definitely not to say that I can't harm this world, too. While I can perhaps help and rescue other Pokemon, my existence here will surely end up permanently screwing up this place, if not destroying it.
The Pokemon smiles. "Yes, your purpose. Everyone has one. And once someone's purpose is complete, they leave; move on. Whether it simply be moving to another location, or death itself, one cannot live without purpose. Some have many purposes in their life. Some struggle to find one. But whatever the case, everyone has one."
