Social self-care means a genuine awareness of our social relationships , and particularly when they become detrimental to our wellness . Sometimes , we stay with people, just because we fear being alone or we don't want to be the weirdo .
The same goes with our vitual connections through social media and this constant trap of comparing ourselves instead our supporting and caring for ourself .
Personally I have started a social media detox for 5 days and I have realised that some people don't deserve my time or energy or worse they are destructing my self-esteem and wellness .
Moreover we have to beaware whom we hang out with , Indeed , we don't want to stay with fast food junkies when we want to eat veggies and be healthy !So it's all about self- honesty and identifying our needs . Finally , if you feel like you have to put on a show to impress people well they might not be good people for you !
The goal is to seek deeper connections daily and avoid the gossiping or to give an interesting turn to the basic small talk by injecting some deeper topics .Not to mention knowing our limits with this whole socializing thing and being self-aware of our need for alone times or breaks.
Maintaining a good social health is also due to a great self-awareness and especially is we are extrovert, introvert or ambivert that is both. It is also crucial to know that in order to be able to recharge properly from these interactions and come back at our best self . Besides, emotional intelligence is also requires as we get to sense people and find our tribe based up many parameters such as who they are and how they make us feel .
