The couple lay tangled together on the couch as the time to land quickly approached. One of the flight attendants gently shook Jared awake to alert him of their descent. Andrea's signature lavender scent wafted into his nose, a sleepy smile took over his face as he buried his nose deeper into her hair.

"Baby, we have to get up, we're almost there."

Andrea groaned lightly at his suggestion and shook her head no. She snuggled deeper into his embrace and nuzzled her face in the crook of his arm.

"I'm so cozy, I don't want to get up." She protested.

"Okay, I'll ask them to fly us back home and forget all about your birthday week." Jared teased.

"I don't care where we go as long as I get to go with you."

"Aww, well aren't you a little cheeseball today."

"Fuck off, Jared." Andrea giggled.

"Mm, I hope to just as soon as we get to the hotel, baby."

Jared pulled Andie in tight and slipped his fingers under her shirt tickling her skin. Flinching when his cold fingers met her warm skin, then squealing. Andrea tried rolling away in an attempt to escape his attack causing them both to tumble to the floor erupting in laughter.

Now upright and buckled in, reaching for Jared's hand as they descended, Andrea's knees bounced with excitement as she watched out the window looking for clues in the night sky.

After they touched down, Andrea jumped out of her seat and rushed to the door of the plane.

"Patience, Andie, patience." Jared laughed, "We're here all week." Stepping behind her, he placed his hand on her lower back pulling her close.

"Well, I still don't know where exactly here is and I'm really excited! I've never been taken on a special trip for my birthday!"  Andrea smiled up at him, extending her neck to kiss him on the cheek.

The stewardess opened the door bidding them fair well as they de-boarded.  Andrea instantly pulled away from him glancing around for onlookers.

"Still not telling you." He winked

"Jerk." Andrea pouted.

"You love me." He replied confidently as he lifted their luggage into the back of their waiting car.

"You have no proof." She huffed, tossing a final bag on top of the pile.

"I have all the proof I need." He said as he lifted the pendant he gifted her from her neck. The memories of the week in Joshua tree danced in their minds birthing smiles on their faces.

"I hate you." Her smile growing larger, Andrea playfully pushed Jared away.

"That's what you said the first time I told you I loved you." Jared chuckled, drawing his heart to his chest feigning pain. Andrea rolled her eyes and moved around the car to get in.

As they drove through the sleepy city, Andrea was glued to the window of the car in search of clues. It was still dark, but she would occasionally see an early morning worker enter a building.

That's when they turned the corner and she saw it. A sight she'd dreamed of seeing since she was a teenager, La Tour Eiffel. She screeched with joy and shot across the back seat so fast she made Jared jump. Andrea grabbed Jared's face pulling him to her for a sweet kiss.

"You sneaky fucker, I love you so much. You really do listen when I talk." A giggle erupted from her lips as she kissed him again.
