Full Title: The kiss (Okay, so you've seen the great beginning, so why would you expect a happy ending?)

She looked me straight in my eyes, searching for the light inside my mind; the galaxies of ideas, the planets spinning on each star, the life beneath the pupils of our eyes. She smiled onto my direction- she never tried to conceal those teeth of hers. Her lips was the red cherry of the summer delight, our favourite at that dessert stand three blocks away from her home. She smiled widely while eating her Cookies and Cream while I, on her right side, stared at her, enjoying such a view.

"Is there something wrong?" she asked.

"On the contrary."

"Oh, come on, Stop looking at me like that! It's kind of embarrassing, you know?"

I smiled, not saying a word. She pinched me hard on my side, making my skin feel the physical pain. I shrugged it off and laughed. She looked weirded out, but in the end, she laughed harder than I do. It was such a beautiful day.

She stared at every art in that museum like everything is a Mona Lisa of Da Vinci or the Starry Night of Van Gogh. She inspected every single painting with such curiosity and beauty that she herself was a sapphire in a room of gold: blue, bright, and extraordinary. Her eyes are sapphire, but darker. I smiled at the sight.

"Is there something wrong?" she asked.

"On the contrary."

"Oh, come on, Stop looking at me like that! It's kind of embarrassing, you know?"

We just shook our head and laughed. She grabbed my hand and run towards a thousand skylines and a million fixed eyes. Father clock was tired, but we haven't cared about how this works, but it does. The sun started to set, but it was such a beautiful day.

The horizons turned blue to red- even Earth is not permitted to stare at Sun's perfection; it still needs to wave goodbye. Clouds never gave a damn about such a tragic love story, but the sea tried to caress her majestic hands to the mainland. However, her hands only touched the golden hair of Earth. She looked down. Her sapphire eyes turned into dead emeralds, or rained emerald. We both lost the words we once formed into a palace of love the whole world admired.

"Is something wrong?" I asked.

"On... on the contrary." She smiled- she lost the genuine pearls in her smile. We both knew this is coming, we're just an ignorant bodies of life loving the moment we already had.

I looked at her once again.

"Oh, come on. Stop looking at me. Like that, it's kinda embarrassing, you know?"

At this point, we know to never wish for dreams to come true, for nightmares are life disguised as a dream.

"Is there something wrong?" she asked.

I looked in her direction. It's been ages since the stars witnessed our hands united. I showed her the galaxies in my mind, the planets beyond them, and life- I smiled for her.

"On the contrary." I said.

Her eyes went wide. For a moment, I saw the whole world on her eyes. She is the reason why the letters formed castles and the contacts formed palaces of memories the universe never imagined to be possible. This. This. She...

Our lips united. The world had forgotten about how time works. The dragonfly kissing the yellow flower, the stars stopped creating lines across the bare sky. Everything seemed to stop. Life seemed to be aligned to its purpose for the first time.

After the kiss, we both stared at each other while gasping for air to breathe. Time seemed to came back to life. There was a dead minute before we laughed our lungs out. We stoop up back to our feet, but I felt the rain started to fall around us. I looked around us just to find a dark side with no tears of the heavens. My feet tried to run towards the said place, but I stopped because of her voice.

"Why?"

I turned around to find her looking towards me.

"Why won't you stay a little longer?"

I stared at her, she looked wasted, like life raped her multiple times. I looked at myself, only to find myself on the same situation as she had.

"Oh, come on. Stop looking at me like that, it's kinda embarrassing, you know?"

"No, on the contrary."

"Is something wrong?"

Yes, I woke up, knowing that I would want to live in the dream of a kiss forevermore.
