Why wouldn't Taehyung pick up his phone?

I glanced worriedly at my phone's screen, which was recording my tenth — possibly eleventh — message to him.

By now, I did catch a few worried glances from the people seated around us, but I didn't care.

"Taehyung, please call me back. I'm worried about you."

Yugyeom had a frown etched on his face, staring at me across the table.

"Hey, he's going to be fine. Don't worry." He patted my shoulder in a comforting manner.

I sighed.

"What if someone robbed our dorm? What if he burned down the kitchen cooking ramyun? What—"

"You trust him, don't you?" He asked with a light smile and a slightly tilted head.

I furrowed my eyebrows at the question. Yugyeom chuckled at my expression and repeated the question.

"Do you?"

"Of course I do! What kind of question is that? I trust him more than anyone else here," I replied, and then mumbled, "No offense." He laughed.

"None taken. But if you trust him as much as you say, why worry? He's going to be fine. Trust that he'll be fine on his own, alright?"

I sighed. "Alright."

Yugyeom flashed a smile at me. A waitress appeared by our table, carrying a tray with two plates of bulgogi.

"Enjoy your meal," she said after placing down the plates, and left.

"Looks delicious," Yugyeom said, looking at his food while picking up his chopsticks.

I looked down at mine. It looked appetizing. And so we began eating.

But I still couldn't get Taehyung off my mind.

"It's getting late," I said, pointing at the sky shakily. I had a lazy smile plastered on my face as I watched my finger sway side to side.

"Yeah."

Hoseok reached for my hand and intertwined it with his, so we were holding hands and placed our hands between us.

I giggled.

The sky was now dark, littered with a seemingly endless amount of stars.

"I want to go swimming," I said suddenly. I hopped off the car and ran to the railings, staring at the sea.

"Tae, don't!" Hoseok yelled, grabbing my arm and pulling me away.

I whined. "Hoseok! Let me swim!"

"No, Tae. You're not in a right state of mind. Let's go home."

"Says you," I said, laughing as I fell forward into his arms.

He caught me, but stayed silent.

"Get in. I'm driving."

I pouted in protest and reluctantly got in.

"I'm tired," I said, followed by a yawn. I took out my phone (which was starting to get annoying with all the ringing) and placed it in the empty seat cup holder.

"Sleep," Hoseok said, buckling my seatbelt before bucking his. He kissed my forehead lightly and shifted the gears.

And we were off.
