I'm sorry I haven't updated in a few days. I haven't been motivated to write since I get my motivation from comments.
So for the sake of getting faster updates, who do YOU think the killer is?!Eleven Years Earlier
The dragon's name was Ryuku and she had kidnapped children from a few wealthy families.
The fact that these were kids of lords and ladies was exactly what had drawn the Bakugous to the job. Anything with a hefty payment was good news to them.
Katsuki hadn't expected it to be his first slay, but his parents had decided he was ready for a fight last minute.
Which meant he wouldn't be playing with Eijirou...
But maybe he could sneak up after the fight...or before they packed up camp the next day.
"Hurry up, Katsuki." Mitsuki sighed, dragging her mace behind her. Katsuki looked down at the two blades he was carrying before following along behind his mother.
"Ryuku has only been active for a few years so we don't know much about it." Katsuki's father explained. "You just be careful and stay behind us."
"Whatever." Katsuki groaned.
"You treat your father with respect, young man."
"I am! I am!"
"Don't worry about it, dear. He's just a child."
"And YOU stop being a pushover. This is why we can't catch as many dragons. You always let them go."
"By accident, dear."
"By accident my ass."
Katsuki sighed, deciding to block out his parent's fighting. This was a regular thing for them. He had gotten used to it.
They entered he cave where Ryuku was said to live, easing quietly through the dark. Katsuki heard something move and turned in its direction.
A gigantic, silver form rose from the rocks, letting out a growl that shook every bone in the blond's body. He tightened his grip on his blades. He was either coming out of this a killer or a corpse.
Well, did it really count as murder if it was a dragon? Katsuki didn't think so.
"Get back!" His mother commanded, shoving him out of the way as Ryuku let out a burst of flames. They missed him by only a meter, leaving a scorched feeling on his arm.
He would have to put aloe on that after this.
If he survived.
"You moron! We told you to stay back!" Mitsuki scolded. She swung her mace, hitting the dragon square in the head. The dragon howled, dropping to the ground.
"You, deal the killing blow." Mitsuki commanded boldly.
Katsuki swallowed, walking forward on nervous feet. He climbed onto the dragon's back, finding its neck with ease.
All he had to do was slice. The dragon was knocked out and couldn't fight back. It was the perfect first job for a child.
But he hesitated.
He didn't know why. He had killed plenty of animals, whacked rabbits and deer for food.
So why couldn't he do this?
Was it beside the creature was so large?
"For god's sake, Katsuki. Get on with it!" Mitsuki hissed. "We don't have all day!"
Katski swallowed again, closing his eyes.
He lifted his blade...
...and sliced.
