the next day at school i had to go to a full day meeting with a social care worker. i basically just sat there as she talked about what was gonna happen to me if i was taken away from my dad. "look, i just wanna get out that fucking house" i almost yelled "language" mr bell said, weird he never usually gets at me for swearing. "eat my shorts" i laughed, half joking and half not.

the rest of the day was so boring but in the end the social care worker decided that it was in my best interest if i was taken away immediately from my dad. which meant i wouldn't know when i was going to be back at school or anything. i got into the social workers car after saying goodbye to my best friends, i can't believe i wasn't going to see them for weeks, months, maybe even years.

"the place you're going is super nice, i've known loads of people that have been there. they have turned out really good" she explained i just looked out the window. i looked at all the trees and everything just flashing by as we drove to the foster care home i was to be staying in. "we will get your stuff to you by tomorrow" she drives until we stop at the end of a road, i look out the window to see what i would consider an abandoned haunted house, but of course it wasn't.

i walked in and i saw some kids run past us, inside the house it was basically a completely different house. everyone looked happy and as if they were actually having a good time. i hadn't seen this, ever. even before my parents split up, they were always always arguing. all the time they were together, so that made tilly and leo scared. harvey was the oldest so he got away with a lot. it was just me, the troublesome one. i wasn't actually that bad.

i was taken through to a room in the back where we met the owner of the foster home. "oh hello darling, you must be max" she smiled. she was probably about middle aged and had grey hairs at her roots. she wore small wedges and a dark green dress. i smiled a little back at her, i don't like people who smile, they creep me out.

"just right here is your bedroom max, you're the only teenager in here so you get a room all to yourself" she laughed a little, i didn't see how this was funny but i laughed anyway, out of politeness. "you just get settled in and we'll call you when dinner is ready" and with that she left the room. i let out a big sigh. i couldn't believe i was in this place.

i genuinely had nothing to do apart from sit on my phone, but even then i didn't really have much to do on my phone because. i never have been on a phone that much in my life. "everyone dinner" i heard a nice voice gently shout up the stairs. suddenly i heard the footsteps of laughing child as i opened my bedroom door. i was the last down, i sat down as everyone's eyes burned into my skin. i sat down while my face was as red as a tomato. "everyone this is our new house mate, max" the leader person said.

everyone's face suddenly lit up with smiles and they all began greeting me in the nicest way they could. i was confused, nobody had ever been this nice to me. even when we all lived as a full family. unfortunately i was the oldest person here and it was just annoying and actually shite because that means i need to be the most responsible.
