me and ace had really got to know each other for the past few days. he was a really great guy and i was also really close with his sister. one day we climbed back through the window to find maria standing there with her arms crossed. "i need to speak with you two" she had a bit of paper in her hand. i sighed and leaned against the window, ace stood next to me. "would you two like to explain to me why now i have a meeting with your head teacher" she pulled out the bit of paper and showed it to us. i just shrugged and ace had a blank expression on his face.
"DONT BULLSHIT ME" she yelled "i've never had any trouble with kids before, don't be the first" i just sighed and rolled my eyes. "whatever" ace sarcastically said. "DONT START" she stormed away and slammed our door.
i only remember two more things from that day, number one a person came and adopted a set of twins who's room was right next to ours. number two, a new boy moved in, he was very shy and quiet and was also thirteen which means he was going to our school.
the next morning me and ace left again but just before maria has to have a little chat with us. "now today is roberts first day so i want you two to look after him, also i have that meeting today so i'll see you two later" she smiled and we left the house.
we got to school with morgan and stood with our friends again. i noticed over in the corner of my eye something was heating up between some year 7'a. "guys there's a fight" levi came running over. we all ran over and pushed out way to the front. i noticed one of the boys, he always tries to hang about with us, it's weird.
i suddenly recognised the other boy. "that's robert" i whispered to ace. "fuck, we need to help him" ace whispered back. "ugh" i sighed a little as i went and split them up. "laurence, leave him alone" i said but he kept trying to hit robert. "fuck" i muttered as i swung at him right as mr grainger appeared.
i was immediately taken to isolation where i had to sit until they phoned maria. she just was told to come in early for her meeting. i vaguely heard them phoning up the ace's class to get him down. a few minutes later and ace appeared. "i was told to come get you" he said. with that i stood up and followed ace to mr grainger's office.
"take a seat" me and ace sat down next to each other with maria just a bit further away. "now ms lorrenston i have called you in to talk about your sons and their behaviours, more specifically max" he smiled at her and i just rolled my eyes. "just so you know i have tried my hardest to keep them in check but you know how it is with these kids" she laughed a little bit we knew she wasn't joking. everyone in this system had a fucked up background one way the other. "so first let's talk about ace because he has been here the shortest time so we have less to talk about" his smiles dropped a little as he brought out a bit of paper.
"now ace here is not that bad of a student, yesterday was obviously his first day and he was only sent outside once for talking back to the teacher, which sometimes i understand it's hard not to" him and maria laughed a little and mr grainger blushed. "he also got a detention yesterday for fighting another pupil" maria gave ace a death stare. "now onto max" his smile now turned to anger and frustration as if he was annoyed with me. "max is a handful, i'll say that. he is very disruptive in class and had been sent outside and sometimes to my office for the remarks he makes to the teacher and other students" he glared at me as if it wasn't funny when i called mrs barden a fat fucking pig. "he has escalated multiple fights and has even tried to fight the staff a couple of times, i actually caught him this morning punching a younger student" he sighed a little and maria suddenly had anger on his face.
"therefore max, you have an internal exclusion which will last for 2 weeks, that's 10 days. so you won't go to any classes and will only be given food at break and lunch, if required" i rolled my eyes and sighed as i slouched in my chair. "and ace you will be given 1 week of lunchtime detentions" he smiled a little as he closed the files that he had open. "thank you for your time ms lorrenston, i hope we won't be seeing each other in the circumstances again" he shook her hand as she stood up and left. "you two, back to class. and remember lunchtime detention, don't forget it" we walked away and back to our classes.
