today for us was an in-service day, so that meant we were off because the teachers had a meeting. i had asked to go visit my old school and maria had agreed to it, on one condition. i had to find my own way there and back. so me being me, i walked round to callan's and his mum agreed to take me. i texted ash that i was coming through and he seemed really excited.
i got out the car with callan "thanks, i'll get him to text you when we're done" i closed the door and walked up to ash's front door. i knocked and stood back. moments later ash opened the door and had a huge smile across his face. "you coming" i asked as he laughed and pulled on his shoes and we left his house. "max" i heard ash says and i turned around to him "you still got tha snout" he questioned and i nodded as i pulled 3 outta my pocket. i have one to ash, one to callan and kept one for myself. i lit mine and passed the lighter on.
"bro schools been so boring without you" ash says as he hands me back my lighter. "yeah same, my new school is so posh and stuck up" i glanced over at callan and saw he had a confused look on his face. i got a laugh outta ash. we spent a lot of time talking about school.
it was getting dark and callan had gotten a text from his mum saying she was only 10 minutes away. we walked back to ash's house. "i'm gonna miss you" he said, pulling me into a hug. i slowly hugged back. i'd never really hugged anyone before, well not that i can remember, but it was okay.
i got into callan's car and we drove home. "thanks" i smiled at callan's mum and walked into the foster home. today was so good to go back home and see ash. i really do miss him.
