"Alright class! Settle down! As you guys know, we are going on a field trip. I'm about to reveal where we're going, if you'll settle down."

Hey, I'm Edith Samuels, and I'm seventeen years old. I go to Oklahoma City North High School (I made that up). My best friend is Piper McLean, yes, the  Piper McLean. She's actually not a brat, as I originally suspected she was. She's really pretty, which makes all the guys run after her. Before you ask, I'm straight, but many of the other girls probably went homosexual for Piper. She has a boyfriend (that I've never met) anyway.

Once the class quieted down, Ms. Carter finally continued. "So, we are going to the Grand Canyon all the way out in Arizona with another high school from California. Here are your permission slips."

As soon as Ms. Carter mentioned the Grand Canyon, I noticed Piper got this wistful far-off look in her eyes. I sneakily texted her under the desk.

Me: Pipes, you look happy...?

Piper: Maybe

Me: About??

Piper: Y must u know Edith?

Me: Piperrrrr

Piper: Sucks to b u cuz I ain't tellin!!

Me: Piper pls!?!?

Piper: haha nope

Me: Pls

Piper: No!! Ms. C is comin over here so put ur phone away

Me: But y r u so excited over the GC?

Piper: doesn't matter. Put ur phone away now

Piper smiled as she read over the permission slip for the field trip and smiled. "Now what are you so happy about?" I whisper-shouted.

She turned and shook her head laughing. "I just have some memory at the area we're going to."

"Doesn't seem like just some  memory to me," I crossed my arms.

"Shut up," Piper swatted at me and continued to read the slip.

"Jason! Cole! Pay attention!" Mr. Dixon ordered.

I'm Cole Marks, and I go to Edgraton Day and Boarding School. It's an all-guys boarding school in California, making it hard to keep a long-distance relationship. That's how I met my best bud Jason Grace, we both have girlfriends out of state. We also play lacrosse together.

"Ok. So, we're going on a field trip to the Grand Canyon in about a month with another school. You guys will need to pay attention to the museum, too. I'm passing out permission slips," Mr. Dixon explained.

I turned and saw Jason smirking happily at the mention of the Grand Canyon. I would ask about it, but if I got caught talking in class one more time, I'd get a detention. And that kinda interferes with the lacrosse team.
