Hello, my name's Veronica McCoy, but if you call me Veronica, I'll show no mercy. Call me Ronnie instead.

So I'm a high school friend of Percy Jackson. After we left high school, we kept in touch. Well, before he joined the Military.

Percy wouldn't say why, but he said something about protecting his family and friends. I think it was about the demigod-ishness. That's exhausting. He joined with his friends Jason Grace, Leo Valdez, and Frank Zhang.

I go to college at NYU, and that's when I got the message.

P: Ronnie, I'm coming home for a little while next week. I was wondering if you'd help some guys out in surprising their girlfriends?

R: of course!

I had always felt like Percy was family to me. I loved his girlfriend Annabeth, she was a lot like me. I loved all of his friends and had met them all several times. What else would I say?

And so, the plan was in action.

...

Annabeth also goes to NYU, so we were gonna do an in-school surprise.

"All students, please report to the front of the school."

Annabeth was the one of the only students who didn't know what was happening.

"Annabeth Chase, please come up to the front."

Annabeth carefully walked to the front, and people started their video recordings.

"Now, I've heard you have a loved one in the Navy?"

Annabeth nodded. "Yes, sir."

"And what does he mean to you?"

"Well, the world. I mean, he's my boyfriend and I've know him for nine years. It's really hard."

"And what would you do if I said I could bring him here?"

Annabeth looked skeptical, trying to figure out what was going on in the Professor's mind. "Well, I'd probably demand you bring him here, and then cry," she joked, but I could tell she meant it.

That's when Percy snuck up behind her. There were a few gasps in the crowd, he was still wearing his uniform.

He covered her eyes, and she quickly reached for something, but then he whispered something in her ear, that sounded vaguely like "Wise Girl."

Annabeth's jaw dropped, and tears started to stream down her face. She threw his hands off her face and turned around and hugged him tight, there was literally no distance between them.

And I have never seen two people share a kiss so full of love.

...

As Percabeth's reunion blew up on Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat, etc, I was working on Plan #2:

Jiper, Frazel, and Caleo.

The boys wanted to do at once, because the girls are basically inseparable. So we chose the time they were going to be at the park, according to Annabeth.

The boys hid behind a bush as the girls walked by.

Piper looked upset, but kept a fake smile plastered on her face. Calypso and Hazel looked the same. They were having some kind of conversation.

"So, Percy's back! Did you get to see him yet?" Hazel asked.

"Yeah, I did. We got to catch up a little bit. He says he's done working for the Navy," Calypso explained.

"Awesome!" Piper fake smiled. I could tell she was in pain.

They were silent for a second.

"Do you-"

"More than you know."

"I just-"

"I know."

"I miss him."

All of the girls seemed to understand what the others were thinking. If you guys didn't know, I am a demigod daughter of Nemesis, and I knew these girls were demigods, too. I had heard about all of their adventures. I understand they just want to see their boyfriends and other friends.

That's when the boys creeped up on them.

Jason wrapped his arms around Piper's waist, pulling her towards himself. Frank rested his hands on Hazel's shoulders. And Leo wrapped his arms around Calypso's neck in a couple-y way.

"You talking about us?"

None of them turned around. They all recognized the voice.

"All of you?"

"Yep."

They all had different reactions. But they all were crying at one point.

Piper buried her face in her hands and collapsed onto a bench.

Hazel shrieked loudly and hugged Frank, knocking him over.

Calypso turned around, looked at Leo, and tried to speak.

"You--I can't--you left--you didn't--" she tried, but tears were welling up in her eyes.

"I'm here now," Leo smiled his oh-so cheesy smile. He hugged Calypso tightly.

Jason wrapped Piper in his arms, and they sat there together. Every now and then, Jason would whisper something in her ear, and she would just whimper in response.

I should probably leave now.

And from somewhere behind me, I heard somebody say:

"Those girls don't deserve those guys. They should break up. Their not even cute together."

I felt anger welt up inside me.

"Hey! Those girls happen to have gone through a hell of a lot (for Annabeth that's accurate) for these guys, and the other way around as well. Can't you just give these couples like ten minutes together? They haven't seen each other in like a year!"

And I stormed off, leaving that girl in shock.
