Your POV

Damn, sitting on my butt for hours on end reading your favourite book wasn't the best idea I had...oh well, I need to go to bed, but first, water.

You got up from your study table, leaving your favourite book on the table for a glass of water

James' POV

He watched you leave from a screen, he could watch any reader with just that simple screen. Well anybody in his universe can do the same, but he really only used it to watch you....

He sighed, sitting down, closing his as hears footsteps approach him.

"James? Why are you out here?" He heard Ryan, he hummed

"Is it (Y/N) again?" He could imagine a smirk on Kinkade's face form, he opened his eyes to find him sitting beside him

"Yeah, it's just....I don't know, I love everything (Y/N), the way their face changes during plot twists, oh! Their cute little gasps when they stop at a cliff-hanger once their parents call them down to eat, and-"

"Okay, okay" he chuckled, "I'm pretty surprised you still haven't tried to leave and go after-"

He realized what he said once James started to grin, creepily

"Is that so?"

Ryan sighed

"You can if you want, but remember, you can't win them just by announcing yourself to-", James already got a head start, running down the hill they were on.

"JAMES! WAIT!" But he didn't hear him, James was already running up the hill getting ready to jump

Your POV

You yawned and rubbed your eyes, it was literally midnight, good thing it was Saturday tomorrow. Walking into your room, you saw a flash of light and...a voice?

"James? James? You there?"

"I am, and I'm...in their room? I think..."

"Take care of yourself, I'm not sure how you can get back, but I'll have to see first. I'll call you once I've figured it out"

"Alright"

And then silence, I walked in.

"Who are you?!"

I startled the man, good, no matter how hot he looked, I'm not letting him go without a fight.

"Ok first, I'm James Griffin...", I wrinkled my nose

"Very funny, trying to be a fictional character? Yeah, not gonna trick me...although you do match his description....what else is there about you?"

I lowered my guard but stood at the door frame, as soon as he finished, I was just standing there in shock.

"You-You....a-are James Griffin? The James Griffin?!"

"Yes and-woah! Woah! Easy!", he caught me as I collapsed

"This must be a dream..." I mutter, my eyes feeling heavy

"This isn't a dream, (Y/N)" and with that I blacked out

James' POV

Crap, well this wasn't how imagined meeting them...

I somehow managed to lay them on their bed, letting them rest, once done I laid down next them.

I faced myself at them, admiring their features, the ones that I've come to love, I never knew why this was the one reader that had caught my heart but I don't regret anything.

They turned to their side, their back facing me, making the light create a silhouette of their outer physique. Creepy as it is, I couldn't help but gawk at their beauty, I know they feel insecure about themselves.

But I want to make them feel special, I just don't know how.

Wait, I think...

I shuffle closer to their figure and wrap an arm around them, hugging them tightly.

"Gosh, I love you...", I said against the crook of their neck, I nuzzled my face closer to the nape

They sleepily groaned, I laughed and slowly drifted off into sleep
