Wish I were her (Keith x Fem!Reader)

(when I put '———' i'm switching between third perspective and Keith's perspective)

You walked with her, how happy you were when she made you laugh, how sad you were when she was going through a rough patch, how angry you were when someone upset her. But it didn't matter to me, it shouldn't.

"Hey Keithy!" You exclaimed behind me, I smiled warmly, the way you used to get embarrassed when I used to yell your name from across the classroom, those were the times

"Sweetie, come on," she told you lovingly, pulling you towards her, I saw you looked shocked but pleased, as you walked away with her you gave me a 'sorry' expression

I smiled in reassurance, was I just someone you pitied? Someone that you dragged along because you felt awful?

If I was, I didn't want that, and I think the only way to rid of these wretched feelings-

-was to ignore you as a whole.

"Come on Keith, pick up, pick up," she muttered quietly

"What's wrong sweetie?" her girlfriend, Allura, hugged her from behind as she made the call

"I'm trying to call Keith, but he hasn't been picking up his phone for a while, I'm worried,"

Allura inhaled sharply at the sound of Keith's name, she didn't hate him, nor did she like him either. She was jealous, that was it, she was plain out jealous of the bond Keith and her girlfriend had, when it was supposed to be the two of them who should have that bond.

"Maybe he isn't feeling well, you know how sickly he gets sometimes when it's exam season," Allura's statement wasn't entirely wrong, but it didn't ease  (Y/N) one bit

"You're right, but," she paused

"I should go see him, I haven't been able to see him at school for the past week,"

She got up and heads out the door, as she leaves Allura sighs heavily

"No, don't be selfish, he's just her friend," she reassured herself, even though deep down she still doubted her girlfriend's loyalty, which was something she was ashamed off, but she couldn't help herself

Why couldn't you just leave me alone?

I turned off my phone's notifications, for my sake, I don't want to get hurt.

I begrudgingly looked through the texts you sent.

(Y/N) the gal: hey, im coming over

(Y/N) the gal: let me in, im outside

I shut off my phone, ignoring your presence, I didn't love doing this, but you don't even know what I'm going through

"Keith!" I heard Shiro calling

I groaned, of course he would let you in the house, I forgot that I didn't live alone.

"Yeah?" I replied, rubbing my tired eyes, man who knew crying can take a tole on you

"(Y/N)'s here! Come down and greet her!"

I paused for a minute, "Yeah alright," I mumbled, getting up to make myself look decent
