"I'm sorry Ms. Jenna but we must go. What you have to say can wait until later."
"No. It must be said now. I don't care for the location but it must be said." she says. Yeah like I thought, this won't be good at all.
"Holland I love you." she says.
"Sorry I can not accept your feelings." I say. She reaches for me and I consider moving back but after a glance at the King, who shakes his head, I stand still. She picks up my hand and kisses my knuckles. My eyes narrow.
"Jenna please do not-"
"Be quiet. This is how I feel. No matter what happens, my feelings to you will never change. So I will not marry anyone." she whispers and I frown. This is very problematic. I look back at the Princess and she looks vaguely disappointed in me, great. I sigh and bend down taking her hand.
"I promise to watch over you. We are bound together now." I say. For an explanation this is a ritual only the royalty of Morning can perform.
When a member of royalty is rejected, if they feel so strongly inclined toward that person then they can kiss that person's knuckle and they are bound together. You can not refuse this happening, it is law that you must let the royal do it if they wish too. Though everyone is reluctant almost no one refuses. Someone actually has refused to but that's a story for another time.
Now that this is done I must watch over her for life. After her parents are gone at least. I stand back up and turn to the Lorio and Philia.
"I will return in a few days." I say and we quickly teleport out. This is getting more and more bothersome.
