The five of us walk out to the courtyard and I look over the army when a little kid runs up to me. It's Ephram again.
"Shouldn't you be at home." I say sternly. I say and he just continues staring at me so I sigh and bend down.
"Ok what is it you needed Ephram?"
"I want to be a hero like you Holland." he says and I smile. I look at him closely. He's very serious about this. Determined, that's good. Really a suprise coming from a child, but then again the elves develop faster than humans.
"Ok. I'm looking forward to that." I say and he smiles. I stand and he grabs my wrist.
"Can you tell me about your adventures?" he asks. I put my other hand on his head.
"Of course. After the war. You can come visit me anytime. I plan to be in Epheria afterwards. Remember. You can visit anytime." I say and he pulls back.
"Okay!" he says becoming more childlike again.
"Now go back home. I'll see you later alright."
"Bye Holland! I'll come visit you!" he says running off. I smile and now Minnie is by my side.
"You really are good with children." she says. I smile and put my hands behind my back.
"I try. Children are nice, when they behave." I say and she laughs softly. I pull roses from behind my back.
"For you." I say and she smiles taking them.
"They smell lovely." she says and sighs. I think after the battle. The moment I'm crowned King I will propose to her. I watch as she resists the urge to twirl around in happiness and smile. Yes. That is what I'll do.
