I go in and am astounded by the beauty of it. The cave shines crystal clear blue the stalagmites hanging from the ceiling. I turn back to tell Lucio and Philia to peak in just to see this, but it's closed off. Typical. I shake myself. Time to move. I go through the cavern with nothing attacking me.
I get to a hallway and pause. I put my sword out in front of me on the ground and sweep it side to side so I don't step on any traps. Ingenuity is my middle name. I chuckle to myself. I am hilarious. I pause at the end of the hallway and am going to put my sword back in it's sheath when I hear a slithering sound in the next cavern. Ok, sword out. Magic shield activate. I keep watch on my 12, 3, 6, and 9 with every step I take. (Just so you know 12 is forwards, 3 is right, 6 is behind, 9 is left.) After a couple feet of being safe I go faster and only keep watch on my 12, 3, and 9.
What I didn't expect was for it to drop from above. A gigantic millipede. It roars and the cavern shakes sending some stalactites raining down.
I take down my shield and crouch then use some air magic to launch me up to it's head and cut it straight across both it's eyes. It roars in anger sending more stalactites down and I dodge them. It springs at me so I put my shield back up and use magic to stick to the ceiling. It hisses and swings its head around listening for me. I smile and stay still so it roars again. Some of the falling stalagmites hit the beast so I move horizontally going to the right wall and then stay still again. I wait as it tries to figure out where I am again and as it's cuing up for another roar I spring myself off the wall and cut it's head clean off. Blood spews everywhere and it wriggles some as it dies, still trying to get at me. I just watch floating in the air and when it finally stops I go down and clean myself and my sword off.
I double check that all my weapons and pack are still secure on me and my gold crown, just in case. Then I continue on. Another hallway. I sweep my sword across the ground again and this time I accidentally set off a few traps. These are more sensitive. Whoever made the place was trying really hard to kill whoever wanted to get in. Finally I arrive at the end of the hallway to see a house built in the middle of this cavern. I go all around the edge of the cavern circling back to the hallway. No exit. So into the house? The door opens and a woman is standing in the threshold. Her hair and eyes black, her skin a pale milky white. An Encantado.
"I don't have all day sir. Are you coming in or not?" she says.
