We get back together and put on the gold crowns and start the climb. There's no trouble for two hours and then we find a cave and decide to rest.
"I'll take watch. You guys can sleep for a sun time." I say and look at her. An hour. I mouth to her. She nods. I wake them and we go outside. There's a path now, that wasn't there an hour before, so I pull out my sword.
"Be on guard." I say and so Philia pulls out her bow and arrows, Lorio his double edged sword. We continue on and there's a bunch of Encantado in their normal state. They hiss at us.
"They're almost harmless right now, since we have the crowns. We just need to be careful." Philia says. I nod and we continue creeping through, them staring at us as we pass, keeping our weapons ready. Once we're through we relax slightly when I feel my soul cry out. I sense her. She's close.
"We're close to Minnie. Let's keep going." I say. We don't get even ten steps when we're suddenly sinking in the ground.
"You're not getting much farther Prince Holland." says a whispery voice.
"Show yourself!" I call out and she emerges in a cloud of black fog.
"It's been too long Holland." she says and I grimace. I used to call her the Witch of the Night. It fits her well, so I think I'll continue calling her that in my head.
"Diamera." I say and she laughs.
