We were on our way to venue. It was at some big fancy hotel on the upper east side.

The car came to a halt in front a huge palace looking building. The door was opened by Mikes driver Robert. We stepped out of the car to be welcomed by the flashes of cameras and the yelling of photographers.

Walking onto the red carpet we took a couple of photos. Some together and some alone. This was the worst part. To me at least. You always had to make sure you looked good enough and your hair and makeup was perfect or you'd be going into the magazine looking ugly.

Now that was something you didn't want.

I was pulled of the carpet by Michael and in front of a camera and interviewer.

"Hey guys I'm Chelsea and today I'm here with one of the business owners of M and C Enterprises and his gorgeous girlfriend."

"How are you guys?"

"Michael?"

"Selena?"

She nodded at both of us with such a welcoming smile. But I knew that was fake.

"We good. Great actually." Michael laughed.

"That's amazing. So I have a few question for you guys of that's alright."

"It's not problem" I answered giving my best smile

"So Michael I know you and your Business partner Corinna just started up M and C enterprises just a few moths ago. But you guys have been doing a great job and have so many find raisers and galas and have raised a lot of money for many different organizations."

"Yes that's right." He replied

"Well a really often asked question is how do you feel?"

"I mean it is really overwhelming but it's so great. I love being able to raise money and help out people. It makes me feel really great."

"That's so amazing."

"And Selena how have you been. We all know you work at the hospital, how's that going?"

"It's really great. It's so great to be able to save lives and put a smile on their and there families faces. It just such a great feeling."

"Aw that's so amazing. I'm really happy for the both of you. Thank you for your guys time."

"Thank you!" Both me and Mike coursed.

"I hate that part."

Laughing he kissed the top of my head and said "I know you do baby but it's over now. Now all you have to do is sit and listen to boring people drone on and on about how money is such a great thing for the world."

"Fantastic!"

We were about to go into the venue when Michaels name was called by a feminin voice.

We both turned around to be greeted by a gorgeous blond in a slutty but elegant white dress.

"Corinna!"

They both hugged and then mike introduced me.

"This is my girlfriend Selena."

I stuck out my hand

"It's nice to meet you."

"You too. I'm Corinna."

"I love your dress." I complimented her.

"Oh thank you but yours is way more gorgeous. It so elegant. You look amazing."

"Oh thank you." She was so sweet I guess I wanted to hate her but I had no reason to.

"Wait a minute let me call Justin. I think he got lost in the crowd."

"Justin! Oh there he is."

I looked up and was met with those eyes. The same eyes that used to look at me and tell me I was beautiful without ever having to say it.

My breath was knocked out of me and I staggered a little on my feet.

"Woah be careful there baby. Don't wanna get hurt."

"Oh are you okay?" Corinna gasped

"I'm good. My feet are just a little tired from walking on them all day at the hospital."

"Oh, well I'd like you guys to meet my boyfriend Justin then we all can go in and take our seats."

Mike shook his hand in one of those boy greetings Justin always used to do with his friends in college.

"Hello I'm Justin." He gave me hand.

I didn't wanna shake it but to be polite I did.

"It's nice to meet you. I'm Selena." I professionally said keeping my eyes on anything else but him.

"Well now that's we've all introduced ourselves why don't we go in and take our seats yeah?" Mike said.

Oh my god this could not be happening
