Me and Sean were waiting at da Angelo for the girls to show up. It was currently 4:45 Selena and Lindsay were 15 minutes late but Selena was never on time. So I wasn't really surprised.

Right at 4:50 on the dot Selena stumbled into the restaurant. Wearing a pair of black jeans and a simple white tee but she still managed to knock my breath away.

She turned around and pulled Lindsay into the restaurant whispering something into her ear. When she turned back around she scanned the place looking for us.

When her eyes finally connected with mine her face lit up into a cute little smile and she waved her hand at me.

She caustically made her way to the table by making sure not to bump into any people. She was always clumsy like that.

"Damn, Shawn whispered to me, they both got so fine."

"I know right."

"Hey guys." Lindsay silently took a seat next to me which Selena did not want.

"Sit here Lindsay." She said pointing to the chair next to Shawn.

"But I wanna sit here"

"But I think it would be better if you sat next to Shawn."

"Why"

"Because I said so. Now sit down."

"But-"

"Cmon Linds I don't bite." Shawn said making her face turn red.

Without saying anything else she took her seat which made Shawn a very happy man.

"So how you ladies been long time no see."

"I've been great. What about you Shawn. What do you do now?" Asked Selena.

"I've been good. And I work as a executive manager at a big firm in Chicago. Justin told me you work at the hospital. Is that true?"

"It is. I've been there for the last 3 years. Tiring job if I do say so myself."

"Must be."

What about you Lindsay what have you been up to the last few years?" I said making all eyes turn to Lindsay who was mindlessly looking around while sipping her water.

"Oh me. Not much."

"Lindsay." Selena said in a warning tone almost as if she was scolding her.

"Well I'm a psychiatrist. In Jersey. Have my own office and stuff. Not much."

"You're a psychiatrist?"

"Umm yeah."

"Really that's interesting. I always thought you'd do something else like be an artist. You were always drawing in that book of yours."

"It was not a book. It's a sketch pad." She said giving Shawn a look of disgust

"My bad, sketch pad. So why aren't you an artist?" He genuinely seemed interested.

They both got into their own conversation about how Lindsay's parents thought it was unreasonable to be an artist and something like a therapist would be better. Don't really know.

The waiter came by and we ordered our food.

Dinner was fun. We talked about different topics. Our jobs. Some politics. The conversation was way different then the ones we would have in college.

Lindsay seemed to loosen up a bit and was more comfortable. You could see that she was very infatuated with Shawn as he was with her.

Me and Selena had our own conversations most of the time.

It was nice to have a get together with them. It was nice not "fighting" with Selena.

Even though I still wanted more than friendship, but I wasn't going to rush her. So I guess we'll have to play the waiting game.

It was now after dinner. We had gotten ice cream at a ice cream shop a few streets away.

Looking down at her watch Lindsay realized it was 9:30.

"Dammit. It's almost 10. We have to go Selena I have a session early morning tomorrow. I need to get home. "

"Why does Selena have to go with you?" Shawn questioned

"She's my ride home. My cars in the shop." She explained when she saw the confusion on our faces.

"Well I can drop you off home. If that's alright with you."

"Really? That would be great. Thank you so much."

Hugging both me and Selena Lindsay turns around and started waking away.

Shawn gave us both a wink and put his hand on her back and lead the way.

"So I guess that's just leaves us two." I said looking down at Selena

"I guess it does. I don't have to work tomorrow, why don't we go for a walk?"

"Sounds good to me."
