By the time it was time for me to walk home the rain was lashing down. I sighed and got my coat from the back room and slipped it on. I locked the door of the shop and started to walk home. Why can't my mother come collect me? I hate getting wet. I hate walking too.

I watched the little raindrops trickle down my jacket. I made my decision. I am not going to be Niall whatever-his-name-is girlfriend. To be quite honest, I highly doubt my mom would approve and how am I meant to pretend to love someone? For money? That's terrible, I could never do that.

I arrived home after the long half hour walk. I looked like I had just jumped in a freaking pool. I seen my moms car wasn't there and I let out a sigh in relief.

I opened the front door and was greeted with my little sister, Joanna. "Hey Jen." She smiled.

"Hey Jo." I said, falling back on the couch, exasperated.

"How was work?" She asked, sitting down next to me.

"Shit as usual." I sighed, taking off my drenched coat. I was gonna tell her about what happened but I couldn't have been bothered and I doubt she'd care anyways. She's a normal fourteen year old, she isn't obsessed with that band, well I don't think she is anyways. "Where's mom?" I asked her.

"Away to the shop." She replied, taking out her phone.

"Well, I'm off for a shower then." I said, standing up. She just nodded and I left the room and went down the hall to the bathroom after getting clean clothes from my bedroom.

I took out the card from my back pocket and left it on the counter beside the sink before taking off my clothes and hopping into the shower. Once I was finished in the shower I got dressed and retreated back to my bedroom. I wasn't even in it ten minutes before my mother came barging in. "What's this?" She asked me, holding up the card Michael had given me.

I don't even know how she found that so fast. "Where did you find that?" I asked her, even though I knew rightly.

"I went to the bathroom and it was sitting there now what is this?" She said, her voice getting louder.

"I was offered a job and that's the number to phone him." I told her.

"A job? what kind of job?" She asked me.

"I was asked to be hired as Niall Horan's girlfriend." I said, looking at my phone.

"You'll look at me when you talk, not your phone." She said, pulling my phone from my grasp. "How much will it pay?" She asked me.

"All he said was large salary and we would work numbers out later." I sighed. I don't know why she's asked me all these questions, she probably just wants to shout at me again.

"Then you're doing it." She stated.

"What? No." I said.

"You have to make money someway and you're not going to make it working in that bloody vans shop for the rest of your life, now phone that man and tell him you'll do it."

"Mom, it's not that simple, I have to go for an interview as well, do you even know who Niall Horan is?" I asked her.

"Yes, he's in that band Joanna likes." She replied and I was surprised she knew. I was also surprised she wasn't shouting at me. Wait, Joanna likes that band? How come I didn't know that..

"Mom what if I don't want to do this?" I asked her.

"It's not up to you anymore, you wouldn't go to college so you're taking this job." She said to me.

"But mo-"

"No buts you're doing it Jenny and that's the end of this conversation." She said to me.

"Mom I don't want to do this, you can't make me." I shouted at her.

"Are you raising your voice at me?" She asked me, raising an eyebrow.

"Nothing you don't do to me every freaking day." I snapped at her.

"Don't you speak to me like that." She said, obviously offended. "and you're doing it, I will get you ready for that interview because if you don't get this job, god help you and don't do anything to sabotage it, I wouldn't put it past you."

"You're so unfair why do you treat me like this? I don't want to do this, you wouldn't make Marcus do it so why would you make me do it?" I asked her. Marcus is my perfect brother that my mother idolises, it's seriously uncalled for.

"Well for a start, Marcus hasn't continuously let me down like you have. He has a life." She said, eyeing me up and down.

"Oh just because I'm not your bloody perfect child like Marcus, I am never good enough for you, am I?" I asked her. She didn't reply, she just cocked her eyebrow and left my room.

I swear to god that woman, why does she hate me so much? I know for a fact she will make me do this but I don't want to freaking do this, I don't want to pretend to love a stupid idiot.

"Hey Jen," Joanna softly said, walking into my room. "You okay?" She asked me.

"No," I shook my head, tears threatening to spill down my flushed cheeks. But I'm Jenny, and I don't cry, ever. "Come here." I said, holding my arms open to her. She came over and wrapped her arms around me then say next to me on the bed after the hug.

"Well, I think you're better than Marcus." She said. "You're nicer than him anyways." She smiled kindly. She always tries to cheer me up after mom is finished shouting at me, she's the best little sister ever.

"Oh Jo." I smiled and ruffled her hair. "you're so sweet."

"What's mom making you do?" She asked me.

"Someone asked me to be hired as Niall Horan's girlfriend today and mom is gonna make me take the job and I don't want to." I told her.

"Niall Horan?"

"Yeah, you like him?" I questioned.

"Ha no, I hate those boy bands they're too common aren't they?"

"Mom said you like them." I said.

"She doesn't really pay much attention to me Jenny, seriously I would be surprised if she remembered my birthday." She laughed.

"Don't worry, I would never let her forget my little sisters birthday." I said to her making her giggle. "Ah that bitch took my phone." I said in realization.

"Don't worry big sis, I'll go get it." She said, standing up.

"How?" I asked her.

"She's taken my phone a lot, I know her hiding places by now." She said and left the room. I shook my head laughing, that girl is so sly. She'll make a good wife someday because you can't pull anything over her eyes. She came back a few moment later with my phone and give me it. "This is why you're the best sister." I smiled.

"Well, I learn from the best don't I?" She asked me, smiling. "Hey, if you're his girlfriend does that mean you'll be gone all the time?" She asked me. I hadn't even thought about that. He did say they were leaving London next week so does that mean I will have to leave with them?

"I honestly don't know.." I sighed.

"I don't want you to leave." She said.

"Well, at least then mom couldn't shout at me everyday." I said.

"I know, but I'd miss you, I still have another four years left in this house and that doesn't include college." She said, making me laugh the way she said it.

"Don't worry about it, I know you'll find a way out one way or another and hey, you go to college okay, I don't want you ending up like me." I laughed but she didn't.

"Is mom going to make you take this job?" She asked me.

"Probably Jo, probably.." I sighed again.
