Song of the Chapter: "2 soon" by keshi
---------------------------------------------
Felix couldn't describe how amazing it felt to get his own thought out. But it didn't feel like enough, there was too much he could get into. He wanted to tell Chan everything and this was the only way.
It wasn't until a week after Chan had come home briefly with Felix to his small, yet homely apartment he realized Chan was someone he would be able to call a friend.
The blob had yet to reappear and everything seemed calm whenever Chan was around him.
Where the rabid dog would be feral but now it acted as a normal dog would. The leaves seemed to blow less harshly in the wind and would only leave the floor in a thin layer with a thick smell of fall Felix loved. The bear was still a teddy bear and opted more for attention through snuggling up to Felix's thigh and shin than growling and roaring and scratching the walls.
It was a bubblegum vision of the world and he didn't want it to stop.
But it isn't real.
That way of life is unrealistic, and the cold harsh reality breaks the glasses that sugarcoat the evil of the world.
Life hates living.
Felix hated breathing.
--------------------------
Chan noticed Felix seemed to be more comfortable with him around, especially when they were in the open grounds and around nature. He would smile more there, but he would also stand out the most.
His fading copper hair contrasted with the sharp colors of fall staining every plant they came across, making Felix look more worn out than before.
Felix would never talk much.
The younger knew everything about Chan: his life in Australia before South Korea, meeting Minho, arguments with his parents, arguments, and debates with his friends, his favorite group, his best friends.
There wasn't much Felix wasn't privy to hearing and Felix felt like he not only knew Chan for years, but he knew the friends of him for almost an equal amount of time.
But he didn't, and even though the ink blob had yet to make an appearance, the voice was there whenever he was around more people than just him and Chan.
He was forcing himself to keep himself calm because of Chan. It was getting easier...kind of.

Seungmin was getting concerned. He was sitting silently on the steps of Chan's apartment building, Minho bringing him a hot drink every so often since it was getting closer to December now.
Chan had been with Felix all day and he was happily walking to the apartment, recounting the homework that he needed to do.
"Dude," Seungmin stood up to confront Chan, throwing the honorific away with frustration, "You need to reply to the texts we send you, we were starting to get worried."
Chan looked confused. "Why?"
Seungmin motioned to the sky, then all around them. It was dark, and the only light shining on the younger was the flickering yellow light from above the door, giving him a dark aura.
"Haven't you noticed? The last time we heard from you was yesterday. Friday, before classes at eight in the morning. It is now tomorrow, Chan, and not a word," Seungmin barked, crossing his arms over his chest.
"Or maybe you were too caught up with that weird guy you forgot there are other people around you," Seungmin snapped, the words making Chan stand at attention at breakneck speed.
