Song of the Chapter: "I'm Fine" by BTS
--------------------------------
It was hard to imagine Felix being any different than he was. He had been stuck in that room, staring at the wall and silently using all his willpower to shun the image of Purge. He wanted so badly to see Chan again that he considered breaking out.
But he knew that deep down, it would be counterproductive. He would be stuck here longer, he would disappoint Chan over everything else.
A shiver went down his spine at the thought of disappointing Chan. How scared would he be to see Chan shaking his head and turning back to talk to Minho?
"You know he did it already."
Felix could only scoff. Purge had gotten so weak in his days here, his voice fading to a strain and his body into almost nothing. It was a speck, as if someone had broken a pen and a drop had fallen on the floor.
It wasn't because of the people that were here. It was because he was so determined to see the man that was standing behind the gray doors that were getting closer and closer to him with each footstep.
He felt his heart rise and the door opened. Siwon was standing there with the man that he missed. He loved.
He knew Siwon had good intentions. Truly, there was no reason that he should be considered the bad guy in this situation, especially considering he came and talked to Felix about Chan and Purge when he heard him crying silently to himself in that room. He couldn't call him the bad guy, bringing into account that if Felix stepped on Purge, the voice would stop for a while.
The fact that he could step on Purge was partially thanks to Siwon.
Although, through that same logic, he would have to thank Minho.
As difficult as that would be, he would have to do it.
Chan turned to Felix and he looked like he hadn't slept in a few days. Despite Changbin's help, the younger looked like he needed a really good nap that would last for a year.
Felix made the move first, instead of waiting for Chan to move out of his semi-sleep deprived daze. He wrapped his arms tightly around Chan, his hand going through Chan's hair (no matter how greasy and unwashed it was) and his head buried in his neck.
Chan felt like he was in heaven.
Felix's touch sent electricity flying through his skin.
He bit his lip to suppress noise, instead letting his arms snake tightly around the younger's midsection and clamp him in place.
They stayed that way for several minutes before Chan murmured a word.
"Let's go home, Lix."
-----------------------------------------
After a much-needed sleep in the back of Changbin's car on the way back to the college, Felix was able to talk to Changbin to hear about what had happened.
He disliked the use of violence and the fact that Chan had gone so far to get thrown in jail overnight was quite unnerving to him. He wanted to believe Chan would have been reasonable while he was in there, to discuss his wrongs and rights with Minho.
But he never had any friends before and as Changbin was able to attest, Minho was borderline obsessive about their friendship.
They had been friends for many, many years, and Minho had seen Chan hurt several times by the people he loved. A girlfriend in high school made Chan believe love wasn't for him until Minho introduced him to dogs and pets. The discomfort from Chan's family situation was made easier by Minho inviting Chan over to his house for the holidays. Chan's grades were altered all the way through high school because of Minho's parents' high influence on the school the two attended.
