Gilbert's P.O.V
I had an Idea. I felt really bad about Anne's book so I searched the shops to see if I could find it because I had seen the cover of it. 'Jane Eyre'. Until I found it , I bought it and went home I really hoped that she would be happy with it.. and didn't think I was.. weird
I ran to school hoping not to be late I had quickly wrapped it and wrote that is was from me.. first I made sure no one was around especially Josie.
Then it was a normal day. I realised she hadn't looked it her back until I saw her walking home when she looked at it.. I quickly ran away I was to nervous in case she saw me.
-a couple days later-
It was a lovely sunny day when me and Charlie where walking to school we were walking from Charlie's and his house was quite far from school so it took longer. "So Gil anything interesting happen lately?" Charlie asked me with his hands in his trouser pockets "Well I found out Josie likes me." I said and rolled my eyes "Mann that must suck" he laughed and patted me on the back "But Charlie.. " I said and gulped silently "Yea?" He replied "I..i..think I like..A-" I whispered and he cut me off "I knew you liked her!" He yelled I scratched the back off my neck.

"But I can't talk to her.." I said looking down a bit "Come on this is your chance!" He smirked "But I don't think she likes me.." I said
"Three words, Talk. To. Her." He said "Fine." I sighed and we got to school a couple minutes after. I put my things in my locker and I saw Anne and she saw me and came up to me. "Hey Gilbert!" She smiled "Hey Anne.." I smiled "Thanks for the gift you really didn't have to" I think she was blushing a bit again! I laughed "It's ok but maybe you shouldn't take this one to school or hide it somewhere safe" I smiled again. We talked for a bit about the party and she told me it wasn't her I knew it wouldn't be her it must've been Josie.
