Part 29/ Disbelief

Gilbert's P.O.V

-Outside the café with Josie-
I was looking at my book when I looked up and saw that Anne and Leon where holding hands and laughing at the counter. But the had only known for two days?..
"I'm sorry Gilly she just isn't right for you." Josie said with a sigh and a smirk "Well thanks for telling me I guess. Anyway I have to go I need to do stuff at home." I said and went back to the train station to go home. I can't believe it at the time I didn't know that it was one of Josies Plans. I got home and helped bash out with a new fence we were putting up which took ages but we managed.

I was thinking about texting Anne and asking her if she had something to tell me so I picked my phone up
Gilbert: Anne is there something going on between you and Leon?
Anne: Yes I'm sorry Gilbert but I'm breaking up with you.
I couldn't believe it she has only known Leon for a couple of days and they are together?!

Josies P.O.V
Gilbert went home and I saw Anne had stupidly but I think accidently left her phone on the table and her and Leon where just ordering so I walked in casually and they were talking the table was right near the back so they wouldn't see me. I picked up her phone and saw that Gilbert had texted

Gilbert: Anne is there something going on between you and Leon?
Anne (Josie): Yes I'm sorry Gilbert but I'm breaking up with you.

I tried to make it sound like Anne I think it worked and I walked out of the café and went home my plan was coming together greatly.

-The next Day-

Anne's P.O.V
I was sat on my bed scrolling through Instagram to see if my friends where doing anything exciting or anything has happened. I didn't realise but for some reason I had forgot most of yesterday I was too busy with other things. Then a message from Diana came up on my screen
Diana: Anne Omg!?!
Anne: Huh? What?
Diana: You broke up with Gilbert for Leon??
Anne: What?!?
Diana: Charlie said he seemed a bit down about it
Anne: I don't know what you are talking about?

I went to text Gilbert to tell him it wasn't me but well it didn't go too well..

Anne: Gilbert?
Anne: Gilbert??
Gilbert: What?
Anne: I'm sorry about what happened yesterday
Gilbert: What do you mean? I suppose you are happy now with Leon anyway.
Anne: That wasn't anything in the café
Gilbert: Oh so you two just accidently held hands?
Anne: No he told me his ex was out there and he was trying to make her jealous I didn't know you and Josie were there?
Gilbert: I'm supposed to believe that?
Anne: Well why were you with Josie anyway?
Gilbert: I was book shopping and I saw her and she told me she knew there was something weird going on with you and Leon.
Anne: Well there isn't?
Gilbert: Yeah right.
